Dealer's should only be punished for Tax Purposes. Not because of the consumers. As the other poster said, people should take responsibility for themselves.

I don't know what the solution is other than Christ and these drug pushers and users won't go there of course. Instead of giving them rehab and spending good tax payers money, how about starting with arresting the drug dealers and keeping them locked up a long time without any luxuries or pleasures and then get the users and do the same. We have to start with law enforcement. I don't know how they sleep at night knowing they are letting (and often helping) this kind of problem go on in our county. If they had to bury a child because of a dealer or user, maybe they would look at things differently.
Most of the "law enforcement" is worse than any dealer, or user, out there on the streets. The law don't want to stop it because it is what keeps all of the money coming into the courthouse, and why alot of cops can buy big new cars, and houses, or whatever they want. It is all about the money. That is what justice is. MONEY, and how much of it they can get.

While it may be a bit harsh to execute a dealer taking into consideration that addicts have to take responsibility for their actions. I think much stronger and harsher consequences should be put into place for anyone caught dealing. Courts should mandate drug rehabilitation for addicts and if they fail to complete the program and get clean they go to prison...Forget 3 strikes if you get caught a 2nd time mandatory prison sentences!

Until people are ready to take responsibility for themselves, the drug problem will never be solved.

Saying a drug dealer caused you to get high, is the equivalent of saying Mcdonalds made you fat.
Drug dealers should be severely punished, HOWEVER, the addict, and the addict alone, should be responsible for his/her behavior, actions, and decisions.
There isn't a drug dealer on the planet that could make me pop a pill or snort a line. I understand that I am responsible for my actions, and no one else.
You people keep taking the blame away from the users, and try to put it off on other people. You make them feel like helpless victims. This is why people find it so hard to quit. They have been told time, and time again, that it isn't their fault. IT IS THEIR FAULT.
you must have adhd. i said the user and drug dealer held resposable.

Besides, it's hard to read and understand what you write, considering the fact you can't write.

i take it you would let a person do free who hires someone commit murder because he did not pull the trigger. to many people on here need understand the concept holding another person responable when one person assist another to commit a crime.
