I heard the toursm committee paid $60,000 + for those 12 days of christmas eyesores, that was a complete waste of taxpayer money and its easy to see why they dont want anybody from the community to be at the meetings if they plan on flushing cash down the toilet like that. That was $5000 a piece for a handful of plastic pipe an 20 dollars worth of lights. Fire all of them that was in on that. If the waterpark is all thats here for tourists then what do we need a tourism board for anyway. Anyone can put a few ads in a couple dozen newspapers for the waterpark an Daniel boone Festival has its own committee. A committee on economic development would serve a little better purpose , maybe pull in a few jobs. Then the people of the county could spend their own money and not rely on passing motorists.Get it through your thick heads, we are just another small town with not much to offer tourists, take care of the ones that are here and stop worrying with silly crap
