Republicans in Hell

While walking down the street one day, a Republican head of state is tragically hit by a truck and dies. His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.

"Welcome to Heaven," says St. Peter. "Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we're not sure what to do with you."

"No problem, just let me in." says the Republican.

"Well, I'd like to but I have orders from higher up. What we'll do is have you spend one day in Hell and one in Heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity."

"Really, I've made up my mind. I want to be in Heaven," says the Republican head of state.

"I'm sorry but we have our rules." And with that, St. Peter escorts the Republican to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to Hell. The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a club and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him, everyone is very happy and in evening dress. They run to greet him, hug him, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at expense of the people. They play a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster and caviar. Also present is the Devil (a Republican, too), who really is a very friendly guy who has a good time dancing and telling jokes.

They are having such a good time that, before he realizes it, it is time to go. Everyone gives him a big hug and waves while the elevator
rises. The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens on Heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him.

"Now it's time to visit Heaven." So 24 hours pass with the Republican head of state joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns.

"Well then, you've spent a day in Hell and another in Heaven. Now choose your eternity."

He reflects for a minute, then the head of state answers: "Well, I would never have thought it, I mean Heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better off in Hell."

So Saint Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to Hell. Now the doors of the elevator open and he is in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage. He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags. The Devil comes over to the Republican and lays an arm on his neck.

"I don't understand," stammers the Republican head of state. Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and club and we ate lobster and caviar and danced and had a great time. Now all there is a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable.

The Devil looks at him, smiles and says, "Yesterday we were campaigning. Today you voted for us!"

A tourist walks into a curio shop in San Francisco. Looking around at the exotica, he notices a very lifelike life-sized bronze statue of a rat. It has no price tag, but is so striking he decides he must have it. He takes it to the owner: "How much for the bronze rat?" "$12 for the rat,$100 for the story," says the owner. The tourist gives the man $12. "I'll just take the rat, you can keep the story." As he walks down the street carrying his bronze rat, he notices that a few real rats have crawled out of the alleys and sewers and begun following him down the street. This is disconcerting, and he begins walking faster. But within a couple of blocks, the herd of rats behind him has grown to hundreds, and they begin squealing. He begins to trot toward the Bay, looking around to see that the rats now number in the MILLIONS, and are squealing and coming toward him faster and faster. Concerned, even scared, he runs to the edge of the Bay, and throws the bronze rat as far out into the water as he can. Amazingly, the millions of rats all jump into the Bay after it, and are all drowned. The man walks back to the curio shop. "Ah ha," says the owner, "you have come back for the story?" "No," says the man, "I came back to see if you have a bronze Republican."

People who usurp their own religious beliefs to defend their policies. Which is a sin.

People who wish to force their religion upon others while stimultaneously not living up to their religion's expectations. Which, according to Jesus, is a sin.

People who support war and then use "thou shalt not kill" as a reason against abortions.

People who say they are for less government controll over the individual, and then enforce the PATRIOT ACT, the sanctity of marriage amendment, and other civilian intrusions.

People who lower taxes for the wealthiest one percent.

People who get in to office thanks to the less educated population states.(A proven fact)

People who accuse Democrats of being spendthrifts while bankrupting our economy.

People who work for their self interests, and the interests of their campaign funders and benifactors, while in office.

When I was a toddler, someone had given me a little Tea Set as a gift, and it was one of my favorite toys.

Daddy was in the living room engrossed in the evening news when I brought him a little cup of "tea" which was just water, of course.

After several cups of tea and lots of praise for such yummy tea, my Mom came home. My Dad made her wait in the living room to watch his little Princess bring him a cup of tea, because it was, "Just the cutest thing!"

My Mom waited, and sure enough, here I come down the hall with a cup of tea for Daddy.

She watches him drink it up and then says, "Did it ever occur to you that the only place that a toddler can reach to get water is the toilet?"

You have that completely backwards. The Tea Party members are idealists. If anything, they over think situations and want to try and solve everything now when some resolutions take time.

The stupid people are the ones who listen to the news and take for word what the newscaster is saying, without spending any time thinking about it, looking for opposing views or research of their own.

I'm for people who only want to get free stuff and sit on their butts not getting money that people who works earned. I believe that we all answer to a higher power (GOD). I believe in our government doing like most Americans citizens do that to live within our means. I believe in our constitution which give use rights all of us rights not just a special few. I'm for holding those elected be held accountable for their conduct which in office whether it be a jailer or the president. I believe that we all should have equal footing whether your black, white, male, female when it coming to treatment and opportunity.

you would make a good democrat then, because most of what you said is not a republican view.a few of those sitting on their butts have to get away with it in order that those who do need will not go without. no one who has ever been poor likes to see waste but like i said i would rather be cheated by one than refuse help thats needed

your really funny. liberal dont believe in those things i posted. When I say GOD I mean the one who created the heaven and the eart you know the one the Bible talks about not the liberal false god Obama. liberials dont believe in working for what they have and if ou believe everything I do then pal you are not a liberal ou are conservative. the liberal agenda isn't to make us all equal or free but to have total control over us all and every part of our lives. look at the cities, states controlled by libs they have laws that are insane. taxes are high jobs are low crime is high. Chicago and Detroit are perfect examples of what happens when libs stay in power too long.

medical care ? what that obamacare? have you not heard about people who have went to sign up? The premiums are so high people cant afford them. obamacare will be the biggest government failure in the history of this country and time will prove it. you really thin Chicago is a great place hell the criminals are running wild and murdering in record numbers because the law bidding arnt allowed a gun to protect themselves. Detroit which has been under democrat control for over 30yrs in 2006 had a population of 2 million people now its under 700,000. There entire districts that are abandoned homes for miles are siting empty there videos on youtube about tis. it looks like a damn ghost town. if you liberals have your way this entire country will be like those cities and obama is leading the way.

remember harlem of the 60s - 70s? Now it is one of the highest income, rent districts in the area. Eventually detroit will be rebuilt but the losses there are due to the outsourcing of jobs for the last 20 years.. and the inflation of property valus which were over priced to start with, a bank cant give a loan of 100k for property that is worth 50k... the banks now own all that property and it will be sold as a huge block to a developer.. it didnt become a ghost town overnight .. but it will be rebuilt all at once. I agree chicago is a failure but corruption has a long history there as do gangs .
