Why is it that there is never any good topics on here anymore? All you see are people starting trouble or people who gossip. I haven't had a decent conversation in a long time on here.

It's because of Gator, and several other village idiots like him, who always are on here making idiotic comments. No one wants to see or hear their maggot puke. That's why many people now avoid Topix. Since Gator and the others like him are so easily amused and entertained, they should just go look into a mirror instead. By doing so, they could have a continuous LOL (all day long, 24/7) and leave Topix for people who are not idiots.

Now that is a contradiction in terms.

"impossible", maybe I should have said this instead: "people less idiotic than Gator and the other village idiots like him". Hope this clears things up.

There is nothing interesting on topix because there are not many interesting people that use it.

Instead of talking about the finer things in life, most, note I said most, people talk about other people in the way of lies, lewdness and gossip.

Interesting people talk about ideals and issues.

Uninteresting people talk negatively about people.

The finer things of life...??? That is a relative statement, that can only be supported by ones "perception" of life and the "finer things" as they are percieved by the observer. Finer things to some people could be ample food ,drink and clothing. To others it could be freedom from tyranny."Taco bell would probably be considered a finer thing in life to a starving person in Africa.

To a ski resort manager in the Sierra Nevada mountains, a "big" snofall could be considered a finer thing of life, if the snofall had been below average. Once again its all relative to what each individual percieves. That same snow could be percieved as disasterous to travelers on the mountain highways. All things are relative to perception, on an individual basis.

I was just being sarcastic. I wish we could get a nice big snowfall here.

Slap yerself for saying such..... It's coming sooner that you might think.... We are moving into a solar minimum that looks to be one of the lowest output level so far recorded.. And the suns poles are in mid flip with it having two north poles at the moment since the south pole already flipped and the north pole will follow within a couple months... All indications are we are heading into a new Moulder minimum which could last from years to centuries... What that could mean to KY is Summers with highs in the 50's and winters with the lows in the -20's and snow falls measured in feet not inches....

Relatively speaking, that sounds a bit too much of a change for me. Future generationw will adapt though, just as they have done over time.

Well the Last time such an event happened we lost about half the worlds population through starvation and disease caused by conditions the cold brought... But that was just a glitch in our short warm period... We have a 100,000 year cycle where there is a short (15,000 to 25,000 year) warm period is followed by a long (75,000 to 100,00 year) cold period.... We have been in this last warm period about 18,000 years and we are over due... If we truly hit the tipping point Kentucky could be Arctic Tundra in less than a decade....
