Rec board sets water park prices
Utility commission sets city service rates

Thompson just keeps on posting this crap!
We are going to be paying for the Thompsons stealing our tax money for a long long time.

one council member said that audit cost over 40 thousand dollars now that's crazy and charging more in the parks or water rates won't bring that much I wouldn't think

Correction. It was $30,000.
Nothing compared to what it shows was stolen. Quit making excuses to cover truth.

the audit cost nearly the same as all the previous audits done by private accountants who found nothing, it was the best money this city has ever spent

At least all the kids now have the same chance to work there and to get the same hours for the same pay. It's just not for the rich kids one and for the kids that their parents know someone or that they work for the city. I say way to go Management be fair and keep it fair!

The park has as many if not more paying customers than before you just don't see all the free loaders that got their free passes every year while the rest of everyone had to pay. And as for everyone that is spreading rumors that there is no longer dollar day that is wrong $$$$ day is still Wednesday $1.00 for anyone 18 or younger.

The prices have increased and as a mother I am in disbelief! I feel like they are increasing the prices to make up for all the $$$$$ the mayor Thompson and his anorexic wife stoled from our city! My kids and I have always enjoyed the waterpark until this year! I just went ahead and bought my family a season pass this year, it was the cheapest way to go. They have raised the prices on EVERYTHING! Even a caramel apple sucker that used to be .25 is now .50! FIFTY CENTS for a rinky dinky sucker? R u kidding me? And for the record, we have been prob 10 times already this season and every time we have went there was hardly anyone there! We haven't been on a Wed Bc I figure it would be so packed you couldn't move. So, at this rate, I don't see the park staying open because they are NOT getting any business! It's a shame you could go to Willimasburg for the same entry fee and concessions are way cheaper! I'm sorry but you could fit three Barbourville waterpark's inside Williamsburg's if not more! It has became ridiculous! Think of all the pitiful children that will have no summer Bc of all the changes that has took place at our waterpark! It's sad! I don't know why the schools resource centers wasn't allowed to renew their deal with the waterpark, but greed and money hungry people has costed a lot of kids their summer this year!

And also, if I had it to do over, I would of never bought a season pass for my family. My kids don't even enjoy going Bc none of their friends are ever there and there is no other kids to play with! I don't know why they pay these kids to be allege "lifeguards"! All they do is flirt with one another and never watch the water! In fact the last day we was there, I saved a small kid from drowning! I asked the lifeguard what world was she in Bc she certainly wasn't watching the swimmers!

OH he!! no! That's right you do have my money,$250 to be exact, not counting the price gouging we have paid at the concessions!. So, thanks but no thanks! Instead, I WILL get my money's worth, or at least attempt to. BUT, I will make sure to let my kids know to make sure and leave PLENTY of messes! The kids getting paid to flirt need something to do! So, thank you, you have went past being greedy to appalling me! It's a joke! You're a greedy joke!

You need to grow up.What kind of parent tells there kids to make a mess and leave it for others to clean up. By the way, the life guards are not the ones who clean up the park you freak, they have maintenance that dose that and they are not in charge of watching your little brats. Sounds like you don't know as much as you think you do. Drive to Williamsburg then we can here you cry over the gas prices. You are areal piece of work. Do us all a favor and shut up.
