Nope... But I would bet it being a bad compressor... But I know pops has never had the coolant recharged in it... But if it's been dry of coolant foe a few years I would say the compressor would need replacing...

Do you have a picture..? I am in need of a vehicle & might would buy it. Is it reliable? & in good condition. What kind of motor does it have? Sorry I'm a woman & don't know much about vehicals lol. But if it can get me to work & back I'll be fine. I'll discuss it with my husband!

I don't have any pictures today.. I will take a few and add them to this thread tomorrow... it's seems in excellent condition but I'm not a car guy.. It's my dads car and he bought it in Michigan before he moved back here about 6 years ago... He drove it from Michigan and has only driven it to the pay lake and town since, I would say no more than a 1000 miles in the last 6 years...

I would suggest getting someone you know to look it over and we can take it for a test drive... but it does have 98,000 miles on it and it's a 1000 buck car so I would not take My word and have someone you know and trust give it a look see...

It is a really clean car, the interior is in great shape and the body too...

If thatís the same 2.3L that they put in all the little Cavilers, I'd bet money that thatís a damn good car without even seeing it.

The AC compressor retains some oil in it even with a system leak. So, that almost says the compressor is good, it just needs recharged and the leak sealed up. I'd think if the compressor went bad, it would make a horrible noise, and probably lock up and burn the belt off.

All I know about it is that I have driven it to the store twice when my old car went belly up and it ran fine.. no dings, knocks, rattles or bangs... But as I said, before someone buys a used car they should always have it looked at by someone they know and trust... I had just always heard that if the AC was dry that over time the compressor would have all dry seals and would have to be replaced because it would leak but I have no idea... I'll run up the hill in a bit after it warms up a bit and snap a few shots...

Well you can drop me a Note to my spam catcher Email Quantummist@Yahoo.com and I will send you a number to call me at... Or go over to my Facebook page and send me a message ...

The Photos are in the post above I stuck up 8 snapshots of it... And yes it's a very good deal ...

But let me be clear... It's a 1992 Used Car... It have been Very reliable for my dad over the last 6 years .. But I bought a 2001 Van from a dealer in town, had it checked by a mechanic, paid several 1000 dollars for it ... a week after I bought it I was going to corbin and the alternator died in the Walmart parking lot...

So I make no Claims about it.. As far as I know it has never had a problem other than the AC going crap... That is why I suggest you get someone that knows cars to come with you and check it out from stem to stern... I will be happy to take you over to a back road and drive it (It has No Insurance because pops transferred the insurance to his new car) So I can't just let someone take off with it on the main roads but I will take the risk of driving it where you can ride and see it running and then get on a back road and let you drive it where we won't get stopped...

Also one of the Requirements if you decide you want it is that you and my dad have to both go to the court house and do the whole transfer of title together... That way it's all notarized and signed off... Had a bad experience years ago when I sold a bike and signed over the title and the guy never went in and transferred it... about a year later I was notified that I was involved in a wreck in Ohio and I had to drive all the way there to clear it up... Luckily I had kept the Bill of Sales I made on the computer and had the guy sign with is DL and address on it...

Hummm... I just tryed again... Looks like Topix blocks any posts from 4share.com where I store a lot of my documents and photos...

So If anyone wants to see the car I guess they will have to drop me a note on FB and I'll send the links... If I'm logged in it shows the post and links on here but if I log out and come back to this thread post 8 with the links in it and post 13 with a link in it don't show up at all...

OK.. Lets try sneaky.... It looks like topix now blocks all posts with links to files stored on 4share(DOT)com so... heres the link but you have to copy it and paste in in your browser then change the word (DOT) to a period and if the link is split with a long space in it you will have to delete of all blank spaces...

It looks like when you paste to the browser it leaves 1 space between fol der so replace the (DOT) with a period and delete the space between fol & der and it works....

This Sux... On this address you have to remove the (DOT) and replace with a period then you have to remove the space between dir & the / and the space between ht & ml ... In other words remove all spaces and change the (DOT) to a period... I think...
