There are many to choose from, AVG, Avast, Avira, Microsofy Security Essentials and Panda, to name a few. I have tried them all and most are DECENT. However, malware sometimes slip through, and most place a heavy load on your system resources. However, there is a very effective free antivirus that is also light on your system. It is called Bitdefender, and is from one of the world's largest anti-malware companies (even though a lot of people have never heard of it). Even though Bitdefender is better that the anti-viruses mentioned above, no single anti-virus is perfect. Everyone has heard that you should never run two anti-viruses together because they conflict, slow the system, and cause havoc. Well, Immunet 3.0 makes an anti-virus that works well (no conflicts) with other anti-viruses. It is also light on your system. Since I installed Bitdefender and Immunet 3.0 together, I have had absolutely great results...no malware problems (unlike before), and the computer runs much faster. If you are happy with your current anti-virus, that's fine. If not, uninstall them and add Bitdfender and Immunet 3.0. You'll see a big difference in computer speed, plus, no viruses slipping through.
