Yeah,
"Leave the hoes alone...they aren't the ones spreading it."
You stupid Bible thumpers gall my nerves.
Spreading your dis-information to suit your agenda.
Mind your own business.
If you want to tell lies to scare your spouse and your children, go for it.
Just don't expect them to respect you when they find out the truth.

also causes your teeth to fall out and it rots your gumline so false teeth are not an option...take it from someone who knows...my x husband was diagnosed with hep c in 1998 after 2 years of testing while we were married..myself and my children had to take a series of shots every 6 months...he lost all his teeth and over 60 pounds...takes retina a shots every other day and is still alive and working...chances of contacting thru sex are almost non-existant....however it can be spread if u live with the person thru common items such as dishes, toothbrushes, etc. It really irks me to hear people argue about something they no nothing about. Even someone with AIDS can live for 20 years after diagnosis. THERE ARE ONLY 3 WAYS TO CONTACT THIS DESEASE...most commom is iv drug usage followed by blood transfusion performed before they started testing for it and the least common way is sex.

: It is spread through contact with the blood of an infected person. The most common way people get hepatitis C is by sharing injection drug equipment, including needles, cookers, water, and cotton. There is a small risk of transmission during sex. Some people contracted Hepatitis C through blood transfusions before 1992. Tattoos and body piercings done with contaminated needles can spread hepatitis C. If a pregnant woman has hepatitis
C, there is a small chance her baby may be born with it. Sharing razors, nail clippers, and toothbrushes may also spread the virus. The hepatitis C virus is not spread by sweat, tears, or urine. You cannot get it through casual contact, food, water, sneezing, coughing, or breathing air.

The following is researched information.

Q: Can living in the same household spread hepatitis C?

Answer: It does not occur very often. If HCV is spread within a household, it is spread by direct contact with infected blood. Examples would be sharing razors or toothbrushes.

The risk for sexual transmission is low. If your partner has HCV and was a former IV drug user, screening would be appropriate to rule out infection.

Hepatitis C is spread by direct contact with infected blood. The virus cannot be passed through toilet seats

Hepatitis C is a blood-borne infection. Itís passed on by blood-to-blood contact, when infected blood enters another personís bloodstream. In Australia, most hepatitis C infections result from the sharing of needles and other equipment used for injecting drugs. You can catch hepatitis C even from sharing needles or other equipment only once.

People that are at a increased risk for catching Hepatitis C, includes:
Current injection drug users (currently the most common way Hepatitis C virus is spread in the United States)
Past injection drug users, including those who injected only one time or many years ago
Recipients of donated blood, blood products, and organs (once a common means of transmission but now rare in the United States since blood screening became available in 1992)
People who received a blood product for clotting problems made before 1987
Hemodialysis patients or persons who spent many years on dialysis for kidney failure
People who received body piercing or tattoos done with non-sterile instruments
People with known exposures to the Hepatitis C virus, such as Health care workers injured by needlesticks
Recipients of blood or organs from a donor who tested positive for the Hepatitis C virus
HIV-infected persons
Children born to mothers infected with the Hepatitis C virus
Less common risks include:
Having sexual contact with a person who is infected with the Hepatitis C virus
Sharing personal care items, such as razors or toothbrushes, that may have come in contact with the blood of an infected person
Also spread by non sterilr tattoo equipment!
So, one in jail gets a tattoo. Gets hep c. Gets out of jail, has sex. Now two have it. Those two have sex with others, noe four have it. Throw in a few iv drugs and shared needles and the problem is worse.
Any bad tattoos should be a signpost to aboid any contact with the person!

Hard to brlieve that only four people have it.
