From what I have heard the State Department of Ed, is coming to Knox County School System, to make complete investigation of wrong doing. Seems like there is so many complaints that they have to come in and possibility take this system over. I think this is the best thing that could happen don't you. And when they come we all need to stick together and help them so they can help our children agree. We thought it was going to get better and heck it's got worse, take it out of one hand and put it in another that is even worse than before. I sure hope this is true!!!

Well if you heard it, it must be true! Sounds like you are one of those disgruntled employees that either took a paycut, lost your title or was relocated to a new position. Honestly you people that like to constantly bad mouth our system but aren't willing to support it, I wish you would take the grand exit door like the Sowders did. It will take time to change after the shape our last administration left it in, but I as a teacher have never heard such positive comments about the new board,And the positive leadership changes that are occurring. Pretty sure if they didnt come in while Knox central has been a persistent low achieving school for like seven years they aren't going to charge in now. Lets quit whining and let's work together to make our schools competive with the surrounding counties instead of trying to connive to bring it down. That's what I think would benefit our children's education.

Mr. Hulett appeared to mesmerize the last school board into agreeing to most anything and everything that personally benefitted himself or his cronies. He fired a the basketball coach on his last day of service to make good on a promise he made to a parent of a former player who left because he was made to follow the TEAM rules. He put buddies in administrative positions that were not competent. He went on frivolous out of state trips on tax payers money meant for the education of our kids. He displayed a sense of personal arrogance that desecrated the morale of our system. His board gave him a perfect evaluation while schools were below par on achievement. We have an opportunity to improve with new direction ,leadership and common sense . Mr. Hulett often used personal fables of his own triumphs along with biblical quotes to explain things, yet behaved to help himself. Again, the board members blindly allowed him to operate in this manner. He lest the system in shambles. Hopefully we can rebuild the system for the sake of our most precious resource, the children.

I have just about come to a conclusion, that no one gives a heck about the kids it's who's going to get the best job. You talk to one side and then the other and you get two different stories. If the state Department don't do something then you can kiss it goodbye because it's just about gone now. Don't seem like no one can get along and if you can't make a person do their job because you are afraid of a law suit, then you better leave fact. It's all about Money, money, money, When you have a 44 million dollar budget someone is going to be after it you can bet on that. It's the love of money that will send you straight to Hattie's.
