The guards who let these deaths take place on thier watch should be charged as this is involuntary mansluaghter or negligent homocide.see these so called guards have a protocal, they are supposed to do cell checks and head counts to ensure the safety and wellness of those who are innocent until "proven" guilty and even if you are guilty if you need medical attention you are supposed to receave it. I would go down and sware a warrant out for those on that shift and any other shift this occured on and once thier found guilty you are absolutley entitled to wrongful death.and the satisfaction that they will be where be in the same siuation but with the same folks they treat like shit.

From all the bitching on here sounds like if you have family members with drug problems or diabetes that you are the one that needs to set them down and have a talk with them! Stress to them that if they are caught and arrested that they must inform the arresting officer of their condition. Most drugheads try to beat the system and will not speak up and tell the truth about their drug problem for fear of doing more time. Some drugheads will swallow every pill in their posession when pulled over, a person with diabetes should have a family member that would come forward and bring them their medications if they were arrested. If you have a family member that is arrested and they have a drug problem then march yourself down to the jail and speak with the person in charge and let them know that the inmate may start gong thru withdrawal, unless YOU speak up how are the employees going to know?
even if you you tell them they will watch you die ,didnt you hear the part they tried to get help?dont matter if your a drug addict or a car thief as long as you are not a child molester or rapist you dont eserve to die and anyone who thinks that isnt a good christion and if they think they are they should shoot thierself.

We really should see to it that they put saunas and spas in there for the inmates. That would reduce their stress. We should get rid of strict and stern cell keepers and replace them with massage therapists there's no point in letting our inmates be uncomfortable, that's just inhumane. Don't you people have hearts? Every inmate should be seen by a doctor and treated for what's ailing them before they put them away and lock their cells. That way they can sleep more comfortably knowing they're in good and caring hands. They could do this when they delouse them. Do they even still delouse inmates these days? While they're at it, I firmly believe they should give them a thorough eye and dental exam as well. It's not right to risk them having a tooth ache or being unable to see the television while they're there. Who could be so cold hearted as to even think of putting the inmates there through that? Tooth aches hurt. Not being able to see tv is annoying. What about hearing exams. I bet statistically over 50 percent of them could use a nice expensive set of hearing aids too. I'm tired of hearing how badly our jail is, and no I don't work there, never did. I refuse to work there until they get Olympic sized swimming pools for the inmates! For criminey sakes.
your so far off the mark you sound like a child!nobody said they are suffering becuase they dont have recliners or swiming pools...where do you draw that from moron?they are fucking dying becuase these low lifes cant or wont do thier job,but dont worry they dont discriminate, you will end thier some day,we will see how self righteous you are then.

You can ask... Its a Jail.. Its Not suppose to be someplace you want to spend your summer vacation. Here's what I think about it... Don't Do Bad Stuff or hang with bad people and you have not a worry. If you find you have been busted Follow the Commands of the officer in charge of you and say things like Yes Sir, No Sir or Officer.. Being a small town you may even know the fellow.. Then be nice, follow the rules, act like an adult.. Do these things and your stay will be better and shorter ..... If you have Lost Your Mind and go off , get to drunk to be rational, be too stoned to know your in the pokey you will not have a nice time...
Cut these guys some slack.. I have been in the jail, On the Good side of the locks, many times in my life and its no worse nor are inmates treated any harsher than any other jail and much better than many...
The Idea is to make it so you don't do bad stuff... If the Jail was made to be better than the broke down tar paper shack you been living in while running your cooker it would not be much of a deterrent... Q
While I agree with you to a degree, the fact of the matter is we make mistakes that does not mean someone should die behind it.I have been in the roughest prisons ohio has to offer and I know if they were to let you die like a dog on the floor the inmates would turn the place upside down and everyone in it ,so yes they should shut it down and get a group of them together I bet it would take once and they would change it the right way.

worked there as a nurse but not for long. there are some good nurses there and some without a heart. they didnt like me i think because i talked to the inmates as a person, one who had made a mistake. my bible says he who has not sinned cast the first stone. i was there to help them but after a week and a half they told me "they didnt need my services anymore!" what they didnt know i was getting ready to tell them i didnt work to work with them anymore. nurses there (the supervisors) apparently have a click - if they dont like you for no reason, goodbye. i says thanks i had enough of that place already, little do they know. thanks to them have a much better job offer where one is allowed to be a good nurse and treat all with respect.

For one your men guards there will pay inmates to bet people down and even take a inmate to a spot where there isn't no camera's a let two or three other inmates just about kill them . It all happens there at night shift I know this I seen it first hand ,yes I did bad thing just smoking a joint that's it.but that guy got bet down and the guards made happien because they wanted it done .the men guards need to be put in 126 and get a taste of there own medicine .and for get your medicine you can't even get a blood pressure pill that is gave to u by a doctor until you see there nurse and that only when she there so fuck all you people that don't know what the hell your talking about!!!!

once a person is lodge in jail everbody consider that person is guilty and deserve the abuse. and their is no decent lawyer who will stop such abuse. the bigger problem the local FBI support such abuse.

the pitty is the community supprts this corruption while codemning corruption. this is nuts but true.

best a person can do is file a coplaint of civil rights violation to attorney general in wasington dc.

What was the inmate in jail for? When someone gets put into jail, should they be given a full tax payer medical exam? I don't know who or what you are talking about, but the JAIL is there to house people who have BROKE the law until they can go before a judge to decide what their fate will be. To my knowledge it is not the jail or tax payers job to baby sit! You said "from day one of his arrest" IDIOT, if he had gone to the doctor on that day instead of breaking the law, then he MAY not be in a "coma". I guess it is the jails fault that he broke the law as well?
Wow....you must be from a another country to think just beccause one is in JAIL his health should be put on hold....How stupid you sound and if it was you are your love ones you would not be so quick to talk out the side of neck....In the end all of them at the KCDC who is mis treating the inmates as if they are animals will answer to Christ!!! You will too if you dont stop thinking as if you are perfect and never broken the law...yiu just havent been caught!
