I know the story was apparently in the paper, but I forgot to grab one last time I was in Barbourville.

Anyone know the scoop on this?

Scoop is, when an inmate gets booked for being on drugs and knows that they've had too much and theyre begging to go to the hospital because they know theyre dying, the jail should take them. No matter how big of [email protected] they are tryin to be. they shouldnt refuse someone medical treatment when they CLEARLY need it. So, instead of doing the right thing and letting this boy go to the hospital and help him they let him lay there and die.

How come they are not sueing the man (BFH) that sold him the Roxy's that evening before he went to jail?

Because the criminal that sold him the drugs did not have a responsibility under laws and contract to act in a responsible manor and fulfill responsibilities in their job description to make sure reasonable care is taken for the individuals safety they are in charge of overseeing.
There is a possibility, depending on exactly what happened that not only monetary punishment be awarded but criminal charges be placed against one or more employees. Who knows.

Of course the family can also sue the individual who sold him the drugs for monetary compensation in a seperate case.

Hope that helps.

It takes a long time to build a case like this.

My opinion is anyone to take a bunch of drugs does that to their self and no one is at fault but ones self! What if he were home then who would they sue? The wife dies also and she had a drug problem so who will they sue for that? Our county suffers enough over these drug users why make it worse? Money hungry people is all I know to say about this story!

He was in the care of the jail staff. And if he was begging to go to the hospital because he was sick, that had no right to deny him that

I agree with hmm, these young kids do all kinds of things, and if that was some of my family they better damn well give them help, I think the feds need to come in and investigate our town, just see for theirselves what is going on, oh lord i hope they never arrest me, I will be scared to death, I will call my lawyer to come get me, I will tell him my life is in more danger there in jail then out on the streets,

Even when a person is arrested they are innocent until proved guilty by a court. Its not the place of the cops, pickard, the jailer to decide . but the think they are judge, jury, and executioner. NO one should be murdered cause they use drugs they need help to get clean. THose murderers at the jail should be arrested and tried for murder. If you allowed your sick parent or child to lay and die youd be arrested.

If he was at home there would have been no need to sue anyone. But when the county takes you into their custody it becomes their responsibility for the well being of the individual.
If they cant handle it they need to close the jail. More have died over there than this one individual. This whole county is corrupt and full of sorry bastards that wont or dont know how to do their jobs.
Ill bet you one thing, if the family wins this lawsuit and the county looses $$$( in which a lot goes into individual "pockets" ) they will damn well learn! As that is where you need to hit these crooks to see any changes....right in the ol' wallet!

I think other families who has had people murdered there should file law suits also. If enough is filed in a short time they would be a state or even federal investigation of whats going on.

With this investigation, you can be sure the background on the other deaths will be called up and looked into also.

Well ya know one of those that is in on the law suit took a life many years back by shooting them dead and I don't think she was sued by the family for it. She needs to think about that!

So that gives the Knox County jail the right to be neglectful in their jobs and let others die? What about those that havent killed anyone that died?
And if "karma" works does that mean that the ones responsible for letting these others die in jail should die or be put to death also? With your reasoning perhaps.

Who were the judge and jurors and prosecutors that did not hand down a death penalty to the one you are speaking of? Should they all die also??

Why dont you go ask the victims family why they didnt sue this person you speak of? Looks like its "their" responsibility to do any suing.

Your an idiot. You dont let one person or institution get away with a crime so they can cause harm to others in the future just because someone else is a criminal.
