im from the old school.....one kid who got 2 quick fouls was on the floor before being taken out ! coach calls for him not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES before he comes over to get coached during free throws, then after his 2nd foul, he is taken out and goes and sulks on the bench, NOT TAKING COACHING AGAIN ! If I was the coach his ass would be drawing cobwebs on the bench !!!
If I were the COACH you say.....thought it wasn't coaching?!?!,

I agree it is all about "attitude" on this team. The boys do not play as a team, the boys go into a game with a loss already on thier minds. They do not win the battle of the boards, they have no effective plays...screens, pics. The coaches do not captialize on what talent they do have...each team is unique throughout each year. The coaches to not work to improve on fundamentals in practice. They do not prepare for the next game. Anyway....enough. You all are right it is about "ATTITUDE". How does a team get a bad "ATTITUDE"?.....cont inue to lose.....continue to lose.....and continue to lose game after game and year after year with no changes. Attitude does not start at home it starts with a really crappy basketball program that is now like 11-50 something over the last three years. I have an ATTITUDE.......the basketball program is really bad. Parents your young men are learning and gaining nothing by being a part of this team with current coaches. Well...your boys on the varsity team are learning what a bad basketball program looks like. I will atttend no more games because my "ATTITUDE" is bad. Boys hopes and dreams just being destroyed by these coaches. I feel so bad for these young men. I really do.

I agree. Lets add a step that is missing. A strong foundation first (coaches with a way to develop players into a strong program) then they select the raw clay to build that foundation based on the types of clay they have. They then mold it (practice, fundamentals, solid offensive and defensive plays). The end result is a flower pot (team working together...success). The foundation is the problem and the clay stays wet (no success) and will never set up to harden to a flower pot (no success, no teamwork, individualism, bad attitudes). What do you do then? You throw it all out and start over starting with a new foundation.

what if the clay doesnt want to form and then to harden ? its a two way street. kids now a days are told, at an early age, that they are the greatest, the ruination of athletics is midget leage, DADDY BALL, buddy league all-stars ! well Lil Johnny was the leading scorer on his all-star team for 4-6 years, now he is in middle school and he is not getting enough shots to be the leading scorer and now hes in high school and he is setting the bench not getting any playing time ! ITS ALWAYS THE COACHES FAULT !!!!!

Hey coach Justin just wait till your kids are old enough to play sports and you work and work with them. then somebody Tears down all the confidence that you tried to put into them because they have less knowledge of the game. And they play someone that plays out-of-control rather than someone is fundamentally sound. Or I guess everybody could just play Tennis. And then coach basketball

OK.....I will just get on the band wagon with you these coaches are doing the best they can. The reason CMHS basketball can not put more than six wins together a season over the last two and half years is because CM simply has no talent to provide and have had bad luck with selecting boys with bad attitudes. If they keep it up the good work they will eventually have a great team and some talented boys will come into the program. Go CM KNIGHTS!!!!!!

Word! It's humorous to see these nimwit parents act like zealouts over their former little league superstars. Come on, it's high school people. Let your sons become men and stop trying to dictate the outcome of their life.

Bad thing is some are entitled and some are not. Just the reality of it. Sometimes it is based on talent/skills and sometimes it is all politics based on who Mom or Dad is or was. It has always been like this now and then. I choose to be a do-gooder and assist in my kids efforts to be placed into a position to be entitled. Or I can just set back and watch the world go round and hope for the best while other do-gooders get thier way. Hey!!!!! it is reality!!!!!!

I am glad I have one of the great kids. Ha! Ha! No....he does ok. Hey my son informed me the Scarberry (Jr) boy quit yesterday. Going back to football from what he told me. Do not know how we will do the rest of the season but we could not really to any worse. A loss is a loss. Anyway, I hate to see any of these boys come to that decision and walk away. Hope some others to not have the same idea or this season will turn really ugly.

The school has no hope. The school has no hope of getting good coaching the coaches have no hope of keeping or finding good players and the players have no hope of wining. You know I thought we'll the freshman and the JV are doing good then I find out that most of the Jv are juniors and the freshman play very very very weak freshman teams so I have no hope of watching Good solid basketball for the next few years because the coaches have givin everybody false Hope this year you guys suck please leave

I have a great idea!!! Quit bashing the coaches and players, the poor attitudes the assumed lack of talent (there is actually some decent talent) and actually turn out and cheer these kids on!!!!!! At the home game last Saturday I heard the WW fans commenting on how few fans were there.

Win or lose the kids deserve your support. Turn out, cheer loudly (and positively) you might just be amazed at how the players might just respond.

Yep...maybe they can stop NITRO tonight. Capital was 4-8. About the same record as Midland so both teams not so hot. Come on Midland you can make it to seven wins this season. You have three more teams coming up with loosing records. PP, SA and SV. We can make it a 7-14 season plus maybe one win in regionals. Two more wins better than 2011 and four more wins better than 2010 if we make it to seven. Hang in there in about three or four more years we will have a winning season at this pace.

Seriously if you are going to be this negative please shove your head in the ground and quit posting. I can probably guess who your kid is by your comments here. A negative attitude is just as contagious as a positive one. Why not try being positive. It really might change your over all prospective in more than just midland basketball.
