My kid went to an after prom party that was hosted by another kids parents. We did not know that the parents were supplying alcohol. Anyone else hear about this, or know the parents?

First if it it is a after prom PARTY you did not think there would be alcohol???? Be real with yourself and the situation. Your child had choices. No one forces anyone to do anything. Second keep them at home after prom or give them a curfew after a church sponsered event it over. Many non alcohol events were held. Quit whining and blaming others face what your child does .if you dont like it be a parent and take control. I know of one party a girl was at. She is ALWAYS WASTED and her mom runs her mouth like her daughter is a saint. Lmao. Wake up mommy at least some parents know what their kids do and keep them from drinking and driving.

Easy for a student to say the hosting parents "supplied" the alcohol, especially when they think they might be in trouble...be open minded. Did your nearly ADULT teenager consume any alcohol? If so, he/she chose to drink it. Also, smoking pot it running rampant now. Consider surprising him/her with a drug test. DO NOT WARN THEM ABOUT BEING TESTED though. Just spring it on them.

I'm not here to argue about it! I was informed that my child was spending the night with a friend, which they did. Apparently the two teens snuck out and met up with others. Believe me my child is being dealt with. The problem is, she does not know the family that hosted as it was a friend of a friend's parents. Again, thanks for the put downs, but has anyone else heard about this? Apparently it was around the Milton, Ona, Bville area.

I believe you are correct. It was supposed to be at another house until staff at CMHS alerted the police. I heard that it was still busted, but idk that for sure.

The Jones are very good people. Please do not bash them until you know your facts. My sonwas at the party and yes the cops were called. Thats a fact but the other fact is THEY DID NOT SUPPLY THE ALCOHOL! The sweet precious girls brought snuck in their own alcohol which they admitted they brought from their own house. Dont blame the Jones they didnt make your son or daughter drink the alcohol. Reaper sounds like you need to get control of your child. if she snuck out this time I small sure she has done it before.

Reaper, The Jones are great people! Sounds like you have issues with your daughter. People living in glass houses shouldnt throw stones. Just sayin.

If you two geniuses would read my post, I took up for the Jones family! However, my child stated that whomever hosted the party knew of the alcohol! I didn't post on here to bash anyone, I posted in order to find out who allowed my child, regardless of her issues, and other underage kids to drink alcohol.....which is morally wrong and illegal! Glass houses, really?

Agree with you. The parents may not have supplied it, but they should've been involved enough in the goings on in their house (full of minors) to know there was alcohol brought in. It's not the first time.

I confronted the family and was told that they did not know about the alcohol, but when they found out, they did nothing about it but require the turnover of car keys!

Then the parents are responsible. Disgusting. You should press charges for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Seriously.
