Why can't you people debate issues without sounding like a bunch if schoolyard runny nose brats. This does nothing to make either sides point look better. It actually furthers most people with common sense look at both sides and think why would I want to be part of this.

It only deteriorates to this point because the tea baggers honestly have nothing else in their bag of tricks but to call people gay and and poor. That's it. That's their repertoire. You'll notice when an intelligent conservative comes on, there isn't any name calling. Hell, we usually agree on more than we disagree.

From Wikipedia:

Use of term "teabagger"

The term teabagger was initially used to refer to Tea Partiers after conservatives used tea bag as a verb on protest signs and websites. Members of the movement adopted the term, and referred to themselves as teabaggers. Shortly thereafter, however, others outside the movement began to use the term mockingly, alluding to the sexual connotation of the term when referring to Tea Party protesters. Most conservatives do not, for the most part, use the term with its double entendre meaning; rather it seems the political left has adopted the joke.

Bah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

<quoted text>are you confusing tea baggers with members of the tea party? Members of the tea party are for less government and more liberties. They demonstrate peacefully and love America.
I realize both terms have the word tea in the name and can see where an uniformed, uneducated lout could confuse the terms.
Glad to help you out.
Tea party....tea baggers....dumbass's....Yeah you are right, they sound kinda like each other. Of course that might be because they are. If you belong to the Tea party then you have joined a very racist group. It only takes one racist individual to make it racist group. They have more than one as a member.
The Tea Party was started by the two richest brothers in this country. Why would two rich brothers who grew up in a one of the most racist households in America create a revolt against our government. MONEY! plain and simple MONEY! It has always been about MONEY! Our government is run by MONEY! If you want to help this country. Then help us get the money out of politics. No money for the greedy.....congress....house.. ..senate.....They are all greedy! Until we accomplish that everything stays the same.

Sundog - in your giant list of mistakes and coverups in the Bush Administration, you forgot one that may have changed everything - the dismantling of the Iraqi army and its ruling Baath party. These weren't stupid men. These were the leaders of the fourth largest military on the planet. They waited patiently to see what we'd do. We had two choices - keep them intact to restore order and rebuild, or deconstruct them entirely. By doing the latter, we took millions of armed men and told them they would have no place in the new country, that they would have to fend for themselves. They did. One-on-one versis American troops. We all know how that turned out. Why did the war criminal do this? If he hadn't, our journalists could have ultimately uncovered the WMD scandal by interviewing ranking members within months and Bush would have been outted for fabricating the evidence he used to justify his invasion. By allowing us to get bogged down in a quagmire, he delayed the truth, and killed thousands of Americans for nothing.

Absolutely. And the biggest problem with what Bush did in Iraq was that he completely de-stablized the region by removing Saddam. Look at what has happened since we invaded--Iran is out of control, Syria has gone mad, Egypt and Libya--out of control. The notion that any of these areas would have become democratic nations is absurd. Democray will not flourish in a theocracy. Modern day republicans prove that on a daily basis.

Wait, you tried to "educate me" on the word teabagger, even though you knew nothing about it. Now you think that the teabaggers aren't racists and you call yourself a democrat? You aren't a democrat. Sorry. Any democrat knows exactly what the tea baggers stand for. Here's an exercize - google "Tea Party is NOT racist."

Naturally, we understand and sympathize with your desires for the whole world to forget about Bush, but in the adult world, there are consequences for actions. The passing of time (and the torch) does not make Bush any less accountable.
Poppy wrote:
<quoted text>Why all the comparisons of Obama to bush? If bush was as terrible as you say and obviously the most vile creature that ever walked the earth, is it really a great accomplishment to say Obama isn't quite as bad? Why not compare Obama to a good president?
Because the same party that was responsible for getting Bush elected wants another chance and so far, they've exhibited nothing but the same fear, ignorance, paranoia, and short-sightedness. In short, you've not yet learned your lesson. Moving farther to the right will not fix things.

What weakness? He was responsible for taking out bin Laden and Qadaffi. There's no weakness there. He is running a terror campaign of his own in the middle east with drones. The unrest is EXACTLY what Bush senior said would happen if you took out Saddam. That's why he didn't do it during the first gulf war.

Reagan failed to take out Qadaffi and you think they feared him? Bush failed to take out Bin Laden and you think they feared him? Obama ended the lives of both of them and you think the middle east doesn't fear him? That's just stupid.

Yeah, let's look at it. A terrorist attack on our consulate where 4 people died. More than 60 were killed during terrorist attacks under Bush and he did nothing about it. 220 Marines were killed by terrorists when they bombed the base in Beirut during Reagan's presidency and guess what...Reagan did NOTHING about it. And you call him a saint. Sorry if I don't take you righteous indignation as anything more than trying to smear Hillary, your next president.

Here's a thought. If you republicans put a fraction of the effort into finding yourself a candidate that could win an election that you do into finding fault with the democrats who actually win elections, you might be able to save your party. Histrionics does not constitute a winning political party.

Gadhafi (as it was spelled by him) was killed by a French spy. Reagan was feared. Bush was the butt of everyone's jokes. I just wanted to clear the record there LOL.
