Has anyone played Orchard Hills lately? What the F happened to the greens? If I was a betting person, I would say Bobby Thew had something to do with it. He thinks he is the smartest man in existence but he's actually an idiot

I played this summer. Orchard Hills is way over priced for what it is. I don't remember the greens being in terrible shape but it is the same price as Esquire and Esquire is much nicer.

I heard Esquire has lost its edge too. I have thought the place to play has been sugarwood for a few years now.

Esquire certainly isn't what it used to be. But the good thing about Esquire is it is long and you get to play every club in your bag. Sugarwood is hands down the nicest public place to play around here, but it just always stays so crowded.

Orchard Hills use to have the cheapest and nicest course in the area. I know Bobby Thew and Kenny Grye from my old Spring Valley days and Bobby had always been a jerk. He's arrogant and thinks the world rises and sets in his a$$.

Im sorry, but unless you actually worked for Bobby I dont know how you would even know him. When I was there he didn't really have time to come out of the office. He is a good buisness man. Kenny also. They are good people. I don't know many of the courses around here that looked very good last year. I played Esquire and it wasn't in very good shape either. That course has always been hit or miss. I have NEVER seen it look as good as it did when Casey Harbour had it. I would think it's all about the Greenskeepers.... If they even have any. I do agree that it is over priced for what it is. Maybe they need to come down on their pricing and put their employees to work on the outside of the course.

Ready my screen name idiot! I WORKED for Bobby a few years ago and he has PLENTY of time to get out on his office. I would listen to hours of him talking about his softball team or to a couple of old friends. Trust me, he didn't do much of anything other than be a di*k. He treats his friends good but if you work for him or play there he is a jackass. If you don't believe me then ask any of the guys that play at that dump. They will tell you.

Actually I was referring to the other comment about him, not yours. So, how about you quit assuming things and get off your high horse. For your information, sweetheart, I worked there too. I never said that he could not be difficult to do deal with. All I said was that he had a buisness to run.He doesn't have to do anything. Thats what he hires people for. Obviously, he doesn't put up with any bullshit. Which is probably why you did not get along very well. Not down playing that he is hard to get along with or that the course looks like crap.

I live at esquire and from what I can see from driving in and out of the area, it looks like they are keeping up with it more than in years past. I think it looks pretty good.
