Was bullied as a kid. It allowed me to realize what others thought did not matter. Kids who kill themselves or try get no pity. If they think school is hard wait till they get a boss who is a prick and throws his weight around with your paycheck. How will they deal with that. I have children and have told them names will not hurt you. It's just how someone deals with their own problems.

life is tough. it's not all sparkly dust and smiley faces. people aren't always going to like you, but that's ok. tough times make tough people.

I think some of you need to be educated in bullying!the effects of bullying are very serious and have lasting effects.my 12 year old cousin Dalton committed suicide as a result of being the victim of a bully..sometimes the victim is to ashamed or embarrassed to speak out.this problem happens everyday in schools and I'm sure you know victims.this happened right here in WV so maybe you should read up on Dalton's situation,it might help you understand.and I pray that u aren't telling your children that bullying is a part of life,it can be stopped.

On the day the movie Bully is released for the public to view comes the sad news out of Princeton, West Virginia of 12-year-old Dalton Lee Walker. Dalton ended his life Wednesday, March 28th, because of being bullied.

Dalton’s mother says that she had met with school officials on several occasions to discuss the problem of bullying as it pertained to her son. According to his half-sister, Dalton had been teased regularly at school, and it just became too much for him to handle.

The issue of bullying has caught national, and even international, attention. That’s a good thing. However, the problem isn’t going away. It’s not as if I’m foolish enough to think that it will disappear overnight. Of course it won’t. At the same time, I still don’t see where it’s being taken seriously enough by the people who can really make a difference for it to truly start making a difference.

i am bullied, ever since second grade. I went to cutting & i was bulimic. the bullying still continues. you don't know how many times i have stood up for myself & has been hurt even more because of it. bullying can make kids stronger, but if it makes kids stronger then they aren't bullied to the full-extint. trust me, i stand up for myself all the time but i keep getting hurt.
i just wish that the board or something would take the thought of bullying into their own hands & make a stop because honestly, telling a bully to stop won't make him stop. Teaching a bully he/her "lesson" won't make them stop. if the board came up with an idea to help bully awareness, im sure it will stop! to many kids drop out of school or die due to the lack of help & support to them for getting bullied. it's ridiculious...
& cyberbullying is getting worse & worse!

I work for the school system so my advice to you if your still in school is to tell your parents first.hopefully they will contact the school and action will be taken.if nothing is done go to the school board and they will address it.as a mom please know that it will get better but don't hurt yourself anymore.these bully's feel weak on the inside that's why they pick on other people, and they've probably been bullied themselves.i will keep you in my prayers and if you need someone to talk to I'm here.
