I feel taverns and casinos should not be forced to be smokeless. Nobody is ever required to go into those places. Everybody, at some time, will find it necessary to go into a grocery or retail store, an office building, or a restaurant and shouldn't be forced to inhale second-hand smoke. In those cases, the smoking ban makes sense. But patronizing a bar or casino is entirely optional, nobody is being forced. And since it is optional, if people do make a choice to frequent those places, they also choose to accept what goes on in those places, ie drinking/getting drunk(perhaps), gambling/losing money(perhaps), and inhaling second hand smoke. I feel the ban goes too far. Smoking, as alcohol, will not be eradicated thru edict. Only education, time and a willingness to quit will lead to the demise of smoking. In the meantime, let the smokers have their places where confronting second-hand smoke is, in reality, optional.
