Maybe the Mother had no choice to leave her babies with the Father. Perhaps it was court ordered visitation? Maybe the Mother wasn't as lucky as you, to have had 12 wks maternity leave. Maybe she didn't even have health care like so mant people in this Country today. Perhaps she had no choice but to go back to work, so that she could feed her babies and herself?
You may think you have a good idea of what kind of Mother she was. I would never jump to that conclusion. I imagine she may have been trying her best to do what was right for her babies and all concerned. I certainly don't think she set out that day to put her babies in harm. She was probably a loving Mother left with no other choices.
Judge not lest you be judged. Maybe you should walk a mile in that Mothers shoes. I'm sure she is grieving their death much more than we are

Local I am NOT defending this mother nor this father.Please do NOT think that by any means.Just listen to this granny for a few moments.You say the situation could of been prevented if the mother had of used "protected"
sex? Well granny used "protected"sex in the form of BOTH the pill AND condom when they first came out years ago and produced a healthy 7lb.7oz. baby boy 9 months later.I had severe complications during birth however and my physician told us that I could never have another child.
You stated this man was a loser and that she knew he was and yet chose to live with him anyways.Grannys former husband was a hard worker who provided the best he could for us, he never drank one drop of alcohol what so ever he never did drugs.He owned property and worked hard on a public job.But when he came home from his job,instead of his family coming first,his property did.Love of the land.Greed.So slowly what love there was between us died.He was not a loser.He still loves his son and was always a provider.He still provides for his son even though his son is an adult now.I could pick up the phone and call my ex right now and although we have been divorced almost 20 years, and he would come to my aide.We just couldn't live together.I did remarry eventually.And low and behold after all those years of as you put it of unprotected sex and after my dr saying I couldnt have anymore children, the LORD blessed me with a beautiful daughter.My husband and I both get asked all the time if we are her grandparents and we just smile and say NO she is our daughter.She giggles and says her nephew is one year younger than she is.Referring to our oldest grandson.So not all are losers and not all pregnancies are preventable or planned.They are BLESSED BY GOD.

Mental health care is not available as in the past. Both mother and father have serious mental health problems. We now just wait for them to lose it and imprison them at $30,000 plus per year. David yates was on the slide after losing his very high paying job and facing eviction. There was no one to call. As for mom, birds of a feather flock together.

I feel the mother should be charged also! She was interviewed here on a local channel and said 'he is an amazing man' and his 'mother should be proud of him'. Also said he was an alcohol and he abused her while pregnant... tolkd judge in that case that her older children would be safe bevause they knew how to dial 911...and there was no custody arrangement in place...lt of folks around here find it horrifying!

Yes, men AND women should avoid sleeping with ANYONE until they have very carefully gotten to know the other person. Children who are planned for and provided for and desired by both parents are a lot less likely to be abused. And I know birth control product don't always work, but abstinenece does.

I know about the situation in Madison. We used to live right next to the Yahara House and it was at capacity for day treatments.

When Madison allowed the murderer (who butchereed his wife and Milwaukee wouldn't let move back there) to move into our neighbohood, we moved back HERE.

And I believe it is just as bad with the NC mental health system.

But as least there are a few folks in rural counties here that would take care of the problem another way.

I am in law school now, but I want to be able to fight for children's rights. I was physically and mentally abused by my stepdad as a child. Then after my mother divorced him her boyfriend had his sexual way with me when I was only 10. The father in this story should be beaten in the head!
