Haunted places

Anyone know of any haunted places in Elizabethton.I am with Bristol Paranormal and we are looking for places to check out around Elizabethton.Some of our team members are away this weekend taking classes with the TAPS team Anyone with any info please post

Hey, this sounds like fun! I'm pretty skeptical about this stuff,but my children swear our house is haunted.My son and daughter have both seen and heard things[i.e.footsteps,shadows,t hings turning on and off by themselves,doors opening and closing,seeing a man and a little girl.]They are now grown and moved out,but we have adopted four more. And now they are experiencing the same things.My older children were forbidden to say anything to the younger ones because of all the trauma they have already experienced in their lives. Now they are telling me the same things.I on the other hand,have neither seen or heard any thing.Can a 'new' house have history? Can an 'upstairs only' be haunted? BTW,we live on the river if that makes a difference.

Ghost Hunter, where did they go with the TAPS team? I would love to go on one of there trips but I can never get off work that long. If ya'll need any new team members let me know. I have done a few hunts on my own. I have some equipment not; recorder and hand held video.

We investagate houses if you are interested Sweet T ,we prefer that Children are not there when we do the investagation .Love TAPS they went to Rhode Island to take some Classes TAPS was having and yes we are always looking for new members,most of us work so we mainly do weekends only .Sweet T yes unstairs only can be haunted,the ground the house was built on can have history.Check out our myspace bristol paranormal also you can e-mail me at [e-mail] with any Q

Thanks G.H. That's something I need to think about awhile.To tell you the truth,[ don't laugh!] I don't know if I WANT to know if my place is haunted.I love my home and hopefully the next time I "move" it will be in a pine box! LOL Plus, I don't know how my husband would react.If I do decide to do this, is there a fee? And if you all investigate,could it make the haunting worse?

No no fee we are nonprofit we do accept donations but we do not charge anything .I don't think it would get worse and from what you have said whatever is there doesn't sound harmfull could be just watching over you maybe a family member.

I remember not long after moving into my new husbands house,i was dozing off, in between asleep and awake, and i heard 3 loud knocks. i opened my eyes, heart pounding and i knew no one physically there because none of our 3 dogs were barking! But i know i heard those knocks! my husband said an old man died in this house,so i always wonder if it was him. Our house is pretty old.Maybe his spirit stayed!!!!!

BTW, I forgot to mention a few places.Carter Mansion is supposedly haunted by an Indian named Dragging Canoe. Possibly the old Saint John's Mill house and the old bridge that goes to Watauga dam.[don't know the name of the bridge]

It is very possible that the man who died there may have stayed,If you would like us to do a investigation we can,We are a not for profit group that does not charge any of our clients no matter the amount of time or distance we may have to put forth. We do however graciously accept any donations (will provide a receipt for tax purposes) to help fund future investigation's.Thanks for the comment

We have done some investigations on the bridge.Had a voice who claimed to be Wanda tell us what realy happened that night back in the 30's.Where is the old Saint John's Mill house,and we have plans on checking out Carter Mansion.That you for the info and your comments.Check us out on myspace

Sorry about posting twice,didn't know if ph# would go through area code is 423. The stone manor house and mill were built in 1778 by Jeremiah Dungan. His family owned the business until 1866 and then sold it to George StJohn. In 1996 [TN bicentennial] the mill was honored as TN's oldest business. Both Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett are reported to have been there. The manor house is located across the road from the mill. I'm not sure if the family still owns it. The mill has been in operation for 230 years.I wonder if it may be haunted too. That's a lot of history![Wouldn't it be great to contact 'ol Davy and Dan'l?!] Very interesting story even if it turns out not haunted. I'm a computer dummy,so forgive me here!...google tricities.com ,search st johns mill' scroll to news search results,click on closest match,click on "as the mill turns". Oops! I don't know how,but I missed the bumper stickers. G.H. I agree with river. Those bumper stickers are not very professional. It makes it seem like you don't take your "job" very seriously. It's hard enough trying to convince people as it is that you all are for real. Plus I personally find some of them VERY offensive. I don't want my children reading anything like that!You need to lose them. Sorry,but that is my personal opinion. And river,I would love to hear more on your story....it sounds terrifying!

Sorry about the bummer sticker I hadn't even noticed them myself ,you are very right those bummer stickers need to go ,I have nothing to do with what is put on there but I will be speaking to the one that does the myspace I done myself is

We do take our job serious and I had not seen the bummer stickers(just took a look at them) but I agree 100% they need to go and I will be contacted the one who posted them ,Than you for pointing this out to me ,I have small Children also and find it very offensive exspecialy considering I am part of this team

I have talked to the one in charge of the myspace and she said that they were sent her threw a bummer sticker app she was unaware they were on there so thank you for informing us and she is going to get red of the app itself(as soon as she gets back from Road Island) so this cannot happen again,she also has kids and did not aprove of them
