It'll be interesting to see if he can turn the football program around. Have to wait till August to find out, though.

Enka has one major problem, they don't have the "diversity" of players which many area teams have. That has always been a big part of why Enka can't get a team going. Maybe with a new coach, Enka will finally see a turn around. One can only hope!

Good luck to the new coach-if he can keep the parents at a distance, he may have some success.

A step in the right direction would be for both Don Icenhower and Brian Carver to find jobs elsewhere.

They need to work on recruiting some of the good athletes walking the hallways and get rid of the politics and business as usual.

there are plenty of kids that would make a good players. the problem has been they do not want to play for a team that has historical sucked in the past.

maybe the jets can get turned around. just because someones parents are big booster members or noted business owners in the community shouldn't give their kids a starting position o the team.

My sentiments exactly. If he's keeping the same assistant coaches, he might need to grow eyes in the back of his head. I've seen them sharpening their knives and talking trash at some of the winter sports events. Catch up on your Shakespeare. Caesar in particular. Et tu, Brute?

Obviously Icenhower and Carver are on their way out. Good riddance to both, our school will be better because of their departure. Our task, now, is to be patient for a season or two or three and let this guy do his job. I supported the petition to oust the last coach but that was simply because he refused to work with the community to build a successful athletic department. This guys seems different, carries himself like a football coach and talks the talk. Let's see if he walks the walk.
