Great investigative reporting. The driver and owner of truck with a 1000 pounds of marijuana in it were found not quilty - WHY? Did they intend to leave it on the truck forever, if they were found not gulity of intent to deliver it. How about quilty for possession, intent to deal. Who filled the charges?

The cops are so used to our criminal justice system covering up for their kindergarten methodology that they are getting even more careless and criminal in their actions. They depend on " public pretenders" to help make the defendents guilty whether it be by very poor presentation of the case or by Unconstitutional plea bargaining. The judges are more than happy to go along with this as they themselves are members of the BAR and personnally profit from all revenues collected by the courts. In the mean while Joe Public pays for all in jail on these trumped up or greatly inflated charges.

To me, you are guilty. You were caught with it. How are you not charged on this. What a justice system.

Only the driver was acquited not the owner of the truck. I find it funny that the owner was out of jail but the driver was left to sit!

I realize this is an AP story, but why even post it on the Web site when it is obviously lacking basic information like "why the man was acquitted?" What is the other man charged with? Has he gone to trial yet?
One more paragraph could answer all of those questions. |

Whew! That sure was a lot of opinion on a few paragraphs of news that told us essentially nothing.Maybe you should read the entire case before you enlighten us with all that is wrong with the crimminel justice system. By the way the term "Public Pretender" refers to court appointed defense attorneys. Not the prosecuters charged with presenting the case. |

The trailer they were pulling may not have been owned by the truck owner. Could have been a no touch freight pick up/delivery. Sometimes there is no way of actually knowing what the driver is hauling unless they go through every single box in the trailer. They don't have time and they don't get paid unless they're driving. Don't be so quick to judge............
