Palisades had another leak this week, February, 2013. There will be a huge community meeting in Kalamazoo regarding it with the governmental group about it.

Palisades. It is just N. of South Haven in Covert on Beautiful Lake Michigan--OUR LAKE! In event of a Meltdown, Kalamazoo is within the 50-mile radiation zone to experience health effects from radiation!

Is this meeting being held in Kalamazoo because they are concerned or is this a regional meeting providing info to the surrounding area?
If it is a meeting for just Kalamazoo, it is time South Haven stepped up to bat as they have even more at stake than Kalamazoo.
I hope they don't wait until they have a real problem at the plant before something is done.

Damn it. I knew I would forget about it. Will there be something in downtown?? Why do you not have something here? Perhaps in our library for crying out loud. It is almost impossible for most of us to get out there and if anything it is us that can do anything. We do not have any idea about what is going on there.

Just an observation.
Most of those concerned about Palisades are not from the plant area. They're mostly from other towns like Kalamazoo and have concerns about the nuclear industry in general (and want all nuke plants shut down, period.) That's why meetings like this don't occur in SH or Covert.
By the way the plant is back in operation.

Is it because SoHAven People are kept in the dark or that there is really nothing to be worried about
