Running a B & B was one of hardest and most rewarding things I have ever done in my life. It is not as simple as everyone believes. It is fun though.

Yelton Manor is for sale. Can anyone tell me how many years the current owners have had it? How many owners it had? The real reputation not online reputation? It would really be appreciated.
After seeing the great reviews on Tripadvisor my girlfriend and I stayed at the Yelton about two months ago.
It's a lovely place with great attention to detail.
However, it could do with new, more pleasant owners.
Their weirdness is hard to describe...especially
the woman who runs it like a warden.
Not a positive experience.
Check out the negative reviews on Tripadvisor.com .

They have been there 25 years, seems to me that they might know more about running it than a guest of 25 hours might know. Bet they'd like to come and review you at your work, knowing nothing about what you do.
Critics, that's all this BS forum is.

There isn't a "For Sale" sign out in front because Elaine stole it.

:( She has had a hard time. Maybe she made decisions that some may not agree with. Let us leave her alone. If you feel she is due anything, let karma take care of it.

Karma might bring back all these pajama clad haters and make them innkeepers, now that would be awesome

Of course there is no realtor sign on the property. First, where would you put it? All along the sidewalk is so overgrown, nobody would see it in the yard.

Second, Yelton’s owner Elaine was instrumental in getting all signage banned from city easements. She didn’t want all the “Open House” and “Garage Sale” signs on her corner, so she fought to make them illegal.

Just ask how pissed the North Shore Memories’ owner is that he can no longer place his sandwich board sign in front of his store.

Signage on city property is illegal by city charter long long ago. The party store had three sandwich board signs the last time I drove by. You guys need a life.

Someone just keeps bringing this thread back to life over and over again, obviously obsessed with the slander. The inn brings millions of dollars to the community (restaurants and retail) and always looks impeccable, what is your problem? I am appalled at this disrespect for generous people who care deeply about their business and their community, steadfast for decades. Shame on you all hiding in the shadows of this forum with your evil talk.

Knock it off you guys. You know nothing about the owners and what it takes to run a successful B&B. The owners have put their heart and soul into Yelton Manor. Try doing it for one-tenth the time they have.

I know the owners personally and they are awesome, loving, hard working people. Haters gotta hate though.

By putting information on this site good or bad...is it their way of advertising their B&B????
Or someone really hates them. It makes no sense.
So many comments about a B&B.

How is it banned if they are all over town?
