What's it to you if the inn is up for sale? Of course, here we go, another slanderous gossip jag about Topix's hater's favorite target. Every single B&B in town is for sale, by the way, check your realtor's multi-listing. But don't post just for the sake of fomenting more hate. Try working half the day(s) that lady works, and always with a smile, and you'll find you don't have time to hate and time to spread hate.

The lady innkeeper is controversial to those few who post consistantly here at Topix. Like Heavy Faith, who has a bug up her butt about her and loves to bring it up at any opportunity. Nothing to see here, move along. 20+ years of building, living and working the most beautiful property in SoHa, and if the lady wishes to retire it's her business, not Topix's business.

How are people suppose to know that it is for sale? Almost 1/2 of sales are done by people calling or contacting an agent because they saw a sign. Advertising !!!!!!

There is no for sale sign on The Sandcastle B&B, The Inn at the Park, The Carriage House or all the other inns for sale. But they are all for sale and people looking for an inn can find that out without driving by, duh. Do you think you are so brilliant and these business owners are so stupid that they haven't thought of the best ways to market their properties? This is the lamest forum ever with the biggest morons ever, egos to match

That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard off. Every other business puts up signs!! I bought a business, while not looking, because I was enticed by a sign. It was luck. I saw a sign, got interested. Best decision, I ever made. Changed careers, wasn't even looking to. Just saying, they are missing potential buyers.

Put up a sign for crying out loud. Just like any other type of business.

Why don't you guys buy it and then you can do whatever you think is the right thing to do. Otherwise, check out the logical ways the inns are being marketed, not to some possible drive-by with millions of dollars to spend. Besides, they have customers all summer, a for sale sign would be creepy, perhaps they have thought of that, duh. Get your thumbs out of your butts and go do something important, hm?

At least most seem to agree is a wonderful addition to the South Haven scene and a delight to walk past on your way to the beach or one of the Festivals held at Johnson Park KUDOS to the owners. Anyone in this business knows about the hard work it takes to win the kind of awards and recognition they have received

Whether one likes them personally doesn't really matter-I wish nothing but the best for them and the fabulous Yelton Manor.
Will be hard for anyone to follow in their footsteps!

Swmilifer...What do you have against "out-of-state folks" buying this property? I'm from Illinois and if I can get enough money together I am going to buy YM. Its the folks like me who have kept SH in business all these years don't forget that.

All in all then, I'd prefer SH go out of business. Remember, it's folks like us who tolerate (acutally it's more avoid or ignore) your kind during the summer.

The lady has been there close to 25 years and has created a legend on that corner. Haters gotta hate, but I respect the hell out of it. Retirement calls at a certain point, that should be respected. If you can work that hard you ought to buy it and see if you can emulate the work done there. don't sit around in your pjs and toss around anonymous bullshard.
