Yelton Manor is for sale. Can anyone tell me how many years the current owners have had it? How many owners it had? The real reputation not online reputation? It would really be appreciated.

The online reputation you are referring to is in regards to the current owners, not the house. The house itself is spectacular, and in a prime spot in town. Quiet, but only about 5-10 mins. walking distance of town, and just across the street from the beach.

Guy named Yelton had it at first back in the mid 80s, thus the name. Yelton built the first inn, but it wasn't anything like what the inn is today. He only had it less than a year if I remember correctly, kind of a retirement project. The current owners came in the late 80s, totally redid and expanded the main inn, then built the additional house a few years later. Also added the amazing gardens. They have been there ever since, also active in community and well liked. Topix likes to gossip meanly about them, but it's just their typical BS. The inn is perfection, seriously, I hope someone continues with it rather than turn it into condos or a private home.

Most beautiful property in town, nothing compares. I also hope it stays an inn forever.

Well liked except by Heavy Faith who never misses a chance, no matter what the topic, to slander them. I knew this topic would cause her to nearly pee herself.

The Yelton Manor owners are great people and run a great inn. The inn was named 2011 International Inn of the Year. I wish both thud owners and the property the very best.

Running a great inn and putting on a show for visitors and people who happen to be on their good side does not make them great people. You'll find more people in town who cannot believe the stunts they pull than people who like and respect them.

Entertainer has previously said that he/she owns an inn, so add appropriate grain of salt to that assessment. Anyway, it isn't about the owners if they are retiring, is it? This forum bitches about the loss of beautiful buildings and business in SoHa, you ought to be hoping this is a successful sale. YM is a fabulous gem on that north side beach corner. The rest is hateful, jealous gossip.

I adore the property, wish I could buy it myself. Gorgeous, gracious, famous. What a loss for SoHa and the world if it sells as something other than the inn it is.

A sign of the times, greatness passes on....to ? Today's generation of workers and customers--both sides of what sustains this kind of business--are no longer willing to do/pay what it takes. Congrats to Robert and Elaine for 20+ yrs of hard work at YM and lucky whoever who ends up with that property, which will probably be some rich out-of-state folks. YM is the jewel on the north side, nothing like it.

For the record, I have never claimed to own an inn.

Wow! Why is she selling? I am in the similiar business and it is going great. People are not flying so they drive up. The place is beautiful. It is hard work though.

You must not be familiar with the owner's history.
