I hear everybody saying that they want a real conservative and they do not want a career politician. Romney and Gingrich are leading and they are both no where near a true conservative. Gingrich is a career politician and Romney ia a career candidate who would have been a career politician if he could get elected. Santorum is not one and he is a conservative. Is the people afraid to vote conservative or is it true that they dont think he can win and they want to say they voted for the winner so they vote for the others. I do not care, I will vote what I believe and it will be Santorum. At least then I can say I told you so when they end up being the same old crap shovelers we have had from both sides.

That depends on your definition of ?"conservative". Santorum is a social conservative who will abandon fiscal conservatism in order to push his anti-liberty agenda. The only true fiscal conservative is Ron Paul.

I like a lot of Ron Pauls views but in the past he has had a lot of no government views. We cannot function with no Government. We need government but it needs to be smaller and controlled and it is now neither one. I just feel that Santorum is that medium. You notice that the media is still saying the 3 wins Tuesday does not matter and Romney is still going to win. That is who they want in there. What the people want does not matter.

First of all, Ron Paul has never said "no government". He promotes limited government. Government that remains in the confines of the constitution.

Santorum's idea of smaller government isn't smaller, it's just different. He is a strong supporter of the federal government spying on our citizens in violation of our 1st, 4th, and 5th amendment rights (Patriot Act). He also wishes to violate said rights in our freedom to choose in many ways, like what consenting adults can do, what we ingest in our own bodies, and our freedom of expression and association. Santorum is no "medium". He is an extremist evangelical.

Lastly, the media lacks credibility and should be ignored. You are right that they promote who they want (the status quo carreer politicians), and demonize or ignore who they don't (non-elites and revolutionaries).

As far as our opinions on the canidates, I will not doubt your opinion. You are correct about the media, but they rarly ignore them, they usually attack them with a vengeance. Look at Sarah Palin and Herman Cain. But of course weiner and the other dems was innocent.

I said "demonize or ignore". They demonized Herman Cain, but they completely ignore Ron Paul. I suppose it depends on if they dig up any dirt, real or imagined. If they don't, like in Ron Pauls case, they ignore them in the hope they'll not get noticed. In Cain's case, I'm sure it was to get rid of him.

in all fairness, they were pretty rough on Weiner. It was all over the news up until he resigned. They are usually easier on Democrats, but he must of pissed someone off.

I do think it's said that tabloid type gossip is what we focus on so much. Most of these politicians have done things in office they violate the law, or the ethics of their office. The media never seems to pay much attention to that, they're more interested in peeping in people's bedrooms.

Sarah Palin and Herman Cain are self-promoting morons who count on other morons buying their books.

They have neither the intelligence nor understanding to hold any sort of office.

They weren't "attacked," they were exposed.

Of course, idiots buy into the image they present, and are unable to accept how incompetent Palin and Cain actually are, and prefer to say they were "attacked."

Palin and Cain are jokes, they would actually be worse as president than Bush was... and Bush was, by far, the most damaging president our great nation ever had the complete stupidity to "elect."
