How about focusing on the problems of this country rather than vacationing in other countries to help them with THEI problems?

Those days of tax writing off your trips are over.

We have just as many problems here as anywhere else in the world.

You are either with us or against us.

Your bleeding hearts can't save the world but you could save our country.

Congratulations to Scott on such a prestigious award! He has been a wonderful doctor for us, and we picked him because of the work he has done internationally.

100% correct. Liberalism is a sickness. Look what it is doing to America.

Liberalism really is a mental disorder.

It is tearing this country apart meanwhile other countries are prospering and taking more advantage of this country while we go down the tubes.

This doctor clearly does this work for his own purposes and not for the purposes of this country. This used to be called treason and as the law stands it still is treason.

Carter, Clinton, and now Obama have all hurt this country and the world by allowing everyone to take advantage of our nation and what is the end result? Massive nuclear proliferation and the bankruptcy of the United States. Both of these make the world a more dangerous place. And all these liberals did it in the name "our reputation is not good around the world", "I feel for these people", etc, etc.

Liberals are weak people, they want their government to do everything for them, they want communism. They should get the hell out of this country because this is a democracy and not a free buffet line.

What's not to like? Almost entirely run from donations of individuals. Yearly budget of 150,000.-that's pretty lean. Very qualified Doc. gets to help out needy individuals, share knowledge, be a good ambassador, and an excellent cultural exchange.-If our government was running it, it would probably cost the 1,500,000., for the same thing, and that's probably a very low estimate.
That's what individual charities are all about, you get to roughly say where you're money goes, it is a beautiful thing. And depending on your income, some or all of it is tax deductable.
-My only irritation is how so many of these articles begin, sorta like a 'save the children' commercial designed to pull on you're heart and guilt strings a lil, for the comming agenda.-But I guess that was the topic,-good article.

If you've seen my previous post Bean, you'd know I'm pretty far from a liberal.-If you wanna tell a doctor, what, where, n' how to practice after 9yrs of higher education, then you and Nancy Pelosi have a lot in common.
-Aparently, this non profit is funded through individual donations, do you want to tell people what they can donate to also?
Now if you're a lil' confused thinking this is an immigration matter, I do have a problem w/some of these 'back door' non profits that take taxepayer money. Or huge ones like Acorn, that use taxpayer money to fund their illegal immigration agenda.-On the other side you have institutions that no longer represent what they were intended for, like the U.S. Chamber of Commerece, whose logo should be in Red White and Green.
Mayby you have an intelligent response, but I doubt it. I don't see anything wrong w/people helping people on their own dime.

It is not true that Non-Profit organizations are operating simply on private donations, look at PBS who receives most of it money from the taxpayer and from tax-exempt profits.

I don't believe anything Non-Profit organizations say; they are the most profitable and corrupt organizations.

Finally, most of these social worker types suffer from a God complex, greed for recognition and vanity, and a hungry jungle libido.

WTF? This guy is my daughter's pediatrician and is great. You guys are upset that he also donates his time to care for CHILDREN in developing nations? Why is this a liberal vs. conservative thing? He is a doctor who gives his life to help children. Jesus, give up the stupid arguing for 2 seconds and ask what it is that YOU are doing to help people. Probably nothing like me. Shut the f up.

Okay, my name isn't Jim, but hey.

So if he's helping indigenous people to help themselves in their own villages, that means he's PREVENTING illegal immigration. Jimmy Boy!

Of course, that's not the point, which is that SOME people, like this doctor dude, and not you, Jim, actually care about other people. Jimmy do you want him to hang for that?
