Ventolin inhaler sucks

So my doctor recently switched me from ProAir to Ventolin. Supposedly both are Albuterol inhalers. But the Ventolin is like inhaling gritty dust. It scratches my throat and lungs, it causes a gag reflex. Sometimes this gag reflex is so violent that I vomit. Does anyone else notice that the propellant seems rough, almost like inhaling dust? I've also noticed since they've switched to the HFA propellants that both inhalors are not as effective. This is NOT something I knew about before hand. I did not know about the switch in propellants until just today in fact. I did notice however that even my ProAir inhaler didn't seem as effective. I found out about the propellant change today when I was researching Ventolin. Because my main concern was that using Ventolin is like inhaling fiberglass. But now I think about it I did notice that even my ProAir inhaler didn't seem to be as effective but I just chalked it up to my lungs were not accepting it as well as it used to for some reason. But now I'm suspicious of the new propellant. I guess my question is two fold. 1. Do you think that Ventolin is rough on your throat and lungs and 2. Do you think that the HFA propellant is causing the medications to be not as strong. I'm not saying either issue is related. Because my ProAir didn't scratch the hell out of my throat and lungs and that contains the same HFA propellant. So, what do you think about these two subjects? I think that if the new propellant is not as effective then that is pretty sad that they need to fool around with a serious breathing problem such as asthma. I know they did it because the environmentalists (mostly those that don't have asthma and can't relate) were pushing hard for this change without better long term studies.

Ventolin is WAAAAYY better than ProAir. ProAir Sucks and should be Banned.

When I use to live in Maine I loved my Proventil inhaler but since I was on MaineCare they forced me to go on Pro Air and later Ventolin because MaineCare insurance won't cover it anymore. I hated both Pro Air and Ventolin. I did find out later that a new law by Liberal Extremists in an attempt to help the Ozone layer had the propellant banned that was in all inhalers and replaced. So now my Proventil that Im back on is still not as good. Im all for saving the environment but making meds less effective for people that don't breathe well is just vicious. And most of these tree huggers are cigarette smokers which makes them hypocrites through and through. If you add up all the asthma inhalers in our country I doubt they affect the environment that much. But the cars these same liberal tree huggers drive sprew out toxins. It's sad these days what people go after as bad or good is often twisted. Anyway it's not the brand of inhalers that such it's the new propellant they use.

FYI it wasn't "Liberal Extremists." It was the drug company whose patent was expiring. So they lobbied for and successfully banned their own product, to re-brand it with a different propellant. And it SUCKS now.
