Read this book and it will tell you why you should just stay away from Bandera all together.I was wondering if you could tell me what the status of your law enforcement is now? Does the city have its own law enforcement, how many people and how is it working out? We have family that live in Medina county and drove out your way a few times. We liked it and saw you have a motorcycle crowd that visits as well. We are considering moving to the outskirts of sa for our retirement. Yet all the reading so far of the city and the county has really been like some tv show with lots of strange drama. Does the city really feel it needs to micro-manage its law enforcement. Why even have it if you cant trust it and the people you hire. Any information would be helpful and clear up some thoughts. thanks
Yes maggie schumacher is mayor pro tem and felt the police chief should be run by her and when she couldn't make it happen she got rid of them, to hell with the safety of Bandera citizens. No police chief was gonna talk back to her.
Read the book:
TURN & FACE THE THREAT " by Scott Anthony Sharp
This book contains stories about grisly murders, bloody suicides, sex, drugs, perversions, animal cruelty, betrayal and retaliation. A reality check for those who are blind to what happens in some law enforcement communities, it is not a book for the faint of heart.
True Story of Crime and Police Corruption
Deputy Scott Sharp stood up to a corrupt sheriff in Bandera County, got him indicted, removed from office, and is now running for sheriff in his place, running against the same forces who have tried to destroy his career for becoming a whistleblower. This deputy has written an expose of crime and wrongdoing by citizens and county officials in small town Texas that will overwhelm you.
"Turn and Face the Threat"
It's a David and Goliath kind of story of a man, who stood alone, with the courage and conviction to tell the truth and fight
for justice - for himself, his son, and his community. His book will shock and surprise you. It shows human nature at its worst
and at its noblest. Poignant, outrageous, and hilarious all at once, those in the profession will recognize its importance and the
rest of us will shake our heads in disbelief at the tales that unfold within.
About the Author
In his seventeen year career Scott Sharp was an Air Force security police officer and held civilian law enforcement postions
such as detention officer, patrol sergeant, field training officer, and Chief of Criminal Investigations. He solved a cold case
murder, was instrumental in taking down approximately 26 meth labs in an 18 month period, and has specialized training in
forensics, gang recognition and SWAT operations. He worked closely with DEA, ATF, US Postal Inspectors, ICE and Texas
Rangers. The author holds an Associate's Degree in Psychology, a Master Peace Officer Certification, and has over 4200
hours of law enforcement training. "
This book has been out for some time and no one denys anything in it. Bandera is corrupt to the bone in my opinion and it is only getting worse.
