Scammers

United States

Careful folks. The army of door good reps are pounding the pavement in town again. Trying so see who else they can scam. What's really troubling about these guys is that they prey on innocent homeowners with false information. Example, this is the 4th or 5th time they've been in my neighborhood. Their opening line includes, "there have been several homes and cars broken into on your block or neighborhood." Little do these guys know, but I'm involved with neighborhood patrol. We've had no reports of vandalism from homeowners or SAPD that we work closely with. Before you commit yourself to a security system that's worthless and plagued with many issues, poor customer service, etc., do some research. You'll be glad you did. Shut the door on these thieves!

They suck and so does their equipment. No customer service worth speaking of. You're better off with a dog.

This company is a big scam. Lawsuits, endless complaints, "F" rating with the BBB. Do your research before you sign on the dotted line.

I love this company :) i have not had any problem with my system. What got me is they paired up with GE and that alone is a great known system. Seems like the people on here do not even own the system!!!!!!!!!! how are you going to judge if you yourself do not own the system!!!

This is more informative info from the BBB. Additionally, Pinnacle is not an accredited business with the BBB. I wonder why?

The bbb itself isba scam, that try's to make money from businesses by selling better ratings. Anyone who wants to put trust what the BBB has to say should check out the 20/20 news report (can be watched on YouTube) before hand. 5 star restaurants and even Disney land had and F at one point, not to mention that a white supremist and terrorist group were both given A ratings after they paid a certain amount of money.

It's possible for the BBB to engage in such tactics. However, you can't ignore the many consumer complaints posted on various websites. It speaks volumes with or without BBB's rating.

was cheated by Pinnacle.
The sales rep told us the contract is 24 months.
We made a mistake by not reading carefully the fine print. It is 39 months.
Their new name is Devcon

I have had many problems with this company, and yes I own a system. They lied to me about the price and about the length of the contract. When I called angry after the first bill, I was promised 3 months free even though I wanted the contract to be shredded, because of false advertisement. I accepted the three months free, only to find out they would never actually give it to me. My contract is finally up and they keep giving me the run around before I can cancel. I have faxed paper work stating I want my contact to be done when it is up because apparently it is a continual contract meaning it RENUES on its own!! You have to give a whole months warning before you end it. I have learned my lesson, I don't do contracts for anything anymore unless I fully understand and have read every small print line. This company does respond when the alarm goes off, that part is fine, but they sucker you in by little white lies such as price and contract length. Why give your money to this company that is lying to you in your home? The salesmen scam you just for their own profit.

I have this system. Read my comment. I am glad they have treated you great but that doesn't change the fact that they lied to my face in my own home. People need to be ware of what this company has and can do to them. The salesmen lie just to make money for themselves.

This company is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They have charged my card without my permission, set up an account in my name that doesn't even exist!!! They said they received codes from a system that was never installed. Then after almost 2 years of fighting with them, they said I was out of the account. But low and behold, who did I get a call from???? Another company calling for me to pay them on the account that doesn't exist!!! They sold the account to someone else. What a joke, please do not deal with these scums, please don't give them your hard earned money... Believe me, they will take it all.

This company is a fraud. Illegal sales practices. First of all, why would any homeowner pay so much money to "lease" equipment, when it can be purchased for less than half their cost? Do the math people. Explore options. Also, research on the internet. Lots of negative stuff posted about this company. That should have been a major clue for you to stay away. I did. Bought my own equipment at Sam's Club. Same quality as theirs, but less than half the cost. And, I own it.

I had a very nice man come by in 2009 said he was with Pinnacle
Security and they were up dating systems in our area . I had told him we were with ADT he said they had bought out ADT Security. So I called my husband and he told me to go ahead to let them update the system. But when we started to get charged from ADT and Pinnacle Security we new somthing wasn't right. So I called Pinnacle Security they told me I would have to write a letter telling them to cancell the contract, so I did. But they never cancelled the contract. So I put a stop payment on our account. Now they are trying to sue my husband and I for almost $2000.00 So were going to court.I 'm writing from Colorado Springs Co.

Are you in Colorado? How did your suit go? I cancelled my agreement within the 3 day right of Reciscion via fax. because my system started making noises two hours after it was installed. I called to have them come back and look at it and was told someone couldn't come out for 5 days. I told her I would have to cancel because I didn't want to wait until I couldnt cancel. 4.5 years later, a collection agency is trying to sue me. I may have tossed the paper work. Any help?

For people that work. White trash hillbillies don't work. They rely on welfare.

Rather hypocritical of you Pedro considering we were both in line together last week getting our Texas Star cards recharged. Say, did you ever find the number for the lady that can get me an Obamaphone like you got?

You have me confused with someone else. I don't do the welfare thing. But, I'm sure you were the first in line. That's usually how it works with gringos. First in line for everything free.

I'm surprised that someone like you who depends on welfare can't even get the name of the program card right. It's LoneStar, not Texas Star. I'm sure the confusion comes from being an inbred with minimal intelligence. It's common in the white trash race. Do you even have a brain? Or, is it just normal to be that stupid?

Need a phone? Call Verizon and get the Samsung S5. It's the best! Oh wait. They're not free. Don't think you can afford $650 for a new phone. You and your kind need to call Assurance Wireless. Just like you call FEMA when you need a free mobile home, or, the housing authority for free housing. Who do you call to get your free hay feed for your critters? In other words, your family?

Pedro, you seem very disturbed to write several paragraphs of innuendo seemingly designed to deflect the miseries of your own plight. By the way, how's life in the fast lane working the intersections as a window washer? I know your family is very proud of you. So are all of us.
