Extremely rude and unsafe drivers

Having lived in numerous countries and cities around the world and the U.S., I am hard pressed to think of a city with more rude and dangerous drivers than in San Antonio. Unfortunately, the gas prices are coming down and the number of speeders and unsafe drivers is on the rise. Rudeness is the biggest problem with drivers not using their turn signals and then getting upset when another driver, who does not know where that person wants or intends to go by any means, uses obscene and rude gestures when they can finally bully their way where they want to go. Drivers also change lanes illegally on a constant basis, go at least 10 to 15 miles per hour over a city street speed limit, tailgate and barely miss clipping someone when it is imperative they get around them. There seems to be complete disregard for any law enforcement and total absence of common sense. People have forgotten that driving is NOT a RIGHT but a privilege.

Welcome to San Antonio - the rude, crude, drunk driving capitol of the world. You are absolutely correct, 99% of San Antonio drivers speed, don't have a clue what "Yield Right-of-Way" means, never heard of a turn signal, routinely ignore red lights and stop signs. You must remember, however, that more than half of San Antonio residents are functionally illiterate and can't read traffic signs. When you drive in San Antonio, you take your life in your hands.

Yes . I thought I was the only one with the same observation. There must be something in the past that made this City evolve into what it is. There is a lot of anger and rudeness on the road.
Or maybe the whole population skipped Physics class.
People in Austin drive differently. More educated and cosmopolitan then San Antonio. As soon as you reach the suburbs of Austin you can feel the difference. People are courteous and know the rules of driving. We plan to move there asap.
