Cops are people, good and bad. I've known a few. I used to hang out and drink at a 'cop bar' and became friends with a few. The stories they would tell about their own were harrowing. It really changed my view of them. Not to mention they could get as drunk as they wanted and drive however they wanted when they were off duty with no fear of repercussions whatsoever. Me and and off duty Auston policeman who is now a homicide detective there were driving down south Congress, he was driving...drunk, and just decided to pull a U-turn in the middle of the street. He didn't care. They do what they want. If they get caught, nothing happens to them. We never punish the police when they do wrong and this has created an attitude on police forces that is dangerous. Just one of many things in our society that has made us less than what we used to be. Sad really.

I am unimpressed - he can join the more than 40 per day who commit suicide in the Bexar County Metropolitan area who go unreported in the local media. Just because he was a police officer doesn't warrant him any special attentions; he was a coward, and will roast in hell for his cowardice. I feel for his family, though, what they must be going through because of his selfishness...

Probably from all the corruption in the SAPD that he had to deal with.

My condolences go out to the family and the extended SAPD family of this fallen Officer. I'm sure he is in a better place away from the Scofflaws of society who may have drove him to this unjust end of a aspiring career. May he find peace and tranquility. Rest in peace brother.
If he is dead he is in hell..... The bible days so... Just trying to... Educate :)
