I was your niece's case manager in 6th grade, and i just saw the Trouble Shooter's piece on WOAI. She told me her story 7 years ago, but I didn't have enough sense to ask her if the one who did it to her was in jail... i feel so awful. If she remembers me, tell her that I've never stopped thinking about her or praying for her. If testifying that she told me the story 7 years ago would help, I will be glad to help. I'm still at the same school.

<quoted text> our hands were tied, did not know the whole story until i found my nephew then i found my niece ,always knew my nephew was innocent but because of both parents truth was being hidden, and wasnt allowed to speak to my niece freely but where there is a will there is a way if your heart is in the right place.as for coming on these topix ,i had no choice and out of desperation to get the truth out there ,looking for help i found it thanks to shadow became more determined, the only things i have revealed are the monsters that made this happen and how my nephews rights were violated and my feelings about the situation and the people involved ,details and critical info have not been revealed . everything said so far has to do with my nephews case not my nieces that is for her alone to tell,i just pray this child has her day.

Brenda,
I'm trying to find out from my bosses if it would be appropriate for me to go through Brian Collister right now, because of confidentiality issues. He asked if he could do an interview, and I'm checking with the big shots to see if it's ok. An interview on TV is one thing I don't know if I can do, but be assured that I'll do anything else to help her, such as testifying on their behalf. So it would be better if we made contact directly. I can think of two ways to do that: look me up on the middle school website (there's a link for the Staff Directory) and shoot me an e-mail, or call the school and leave a message with your number for me with the school secretary. Again, I'll do anything to help her.

Good, please find me! I have always wanted to see Heather again, and I know someone who I'm sure can help her emotionally - but this isn't the place to talk about that.
and just to be clear, it's not that i don't want to do an interview... if it will help you, i DO want to do it. If Heather wants me to do it, I'll do it if allowed to by my bosses. I just have to get clearance from them, since my conversations with her happened at work.

Accused sex offender‘s trial may be moved from Bandera to Kendall County By Jessica Hawley-Jerome [email protected] The Bandera Bulletin | 0 comments

The 216th District Court is expected to deliberate on a change of venue for accused sex offender Michael Odom. His case originally set to be heard in Bandera County, the trial may be moved to Kendall County, pending the outcome of a hearing on Thursday, Nov. 8.

Odom was indicted in May on one count of sexual assault and one count of aggravated sexual assault. He was arrested while living in Aransas County in April 2011 and transported to Bandera after an alleged victim gave testimony for a molestation she said occurred in June 2001, when she was 14 years old. Since then, six people have come forward according to reports with the Bandera County Sheriff's Office. Two of those complaints, including one from Odom's former stepdaughter, had not reached their statute of limitations when the investigations began and could be prosecuted.

A San Antonio news station recently interviewed the stepdaughter who said the wrong person is in prison for the crimes committed against her. The alleged victim told News 4 WOAI last week that Odom repeatedly sexually assaulted her while she was a young girl more than 10 years ago, at the age of 8. She said her mother told her to blame her 13-year-old brother, who pleaded guilty to the abuse in 2002, at the behest of his mother and an interrogator. He did not have an attorney present. Still incarcerated with the Texas Department of Corrections, the brother continues to assert his innocence, which his sister corroborates.

Former Bandera County Sgt. Jose Barreto interviewed the brother in March. In a recorded statement, the brother said Odom began abusing him at age 11.

“There was a lot of physical abuse,” Barreto said, adding the boy was repeatedly sexually molested by Odom, and beaten up if he refused.“[Odom] told the boy,'There is no God. I am your God.'”

According to Assistant District Attorney Steve Wadsworth, the brother was convicted in a juvenile case. In order to be granted a hearing for release, an attorney would have to file a writ of habeas corpus and challenge the conviction. Otherwise, he is not eligible for parole until 2017.

Wadsworth said he expects Odom's trial will be set for some time after the New Year. Odom is currently out on two $35,000 bonds.
