Perry police at center of investigation

There is little information available on a Michigan State Police criminal investigation involving the Perry Police Department.

All I know, is we were pulled over by a Perry cop (we live in the area) several months ago. There was no reason given for the stop, and the officer was antagonistic...on a real fishing expedition.

We did our best to remain polite and compliant, but he wouldn't give it a rest. When he started making my wife "walk the line" (even though neither one of us drinks, or did anything to indicate intoxication) I got a look of disgust on my face and shook my head slightly. He decided to take this as a provocation, and literally tried to pick a fight with me.

I said nothing and remained seated. Finally, in frustration, he let us go.

We were shocked by this officer's behavior. After relating this incident to a police officer friend of ours (in another department), she said the Perry officer was clearly doing everything to "get an arrest."

I hope this guy is one of the ones under investigation right now. It's officer's like this that give the police a bad name.

snowdog99 how many deaths have occured becuase of drunk driving. The officer was just making sure just in case she was ,possibly saving a life. I have been pulled over for the same reason and I dont care if Iam not doing anything wrong. Please officer dont stop pulling people over for possibly thinking they are drunk. You may save my family or friends life. Police dont let crybabies like snowdog99 stop you.

This is in response to What. No police officer has to right to harrass anyone who does nothing wrong just because he has a badge. There are alot of corrupt police and he was one of them. These officers were fired for sexually abusing a girl that they had pulled over. Furthermore, this same officer pulled me over at 12:15am coming home from my second job on a Friday evening and I was not drinking, speeding or doing anything wrong. Just trying to get home after a very long day and I have to tell you that I was scared. I was also taken out of my car, took 2 PBT'S that came up 0, he towed my car, but didn't arrest me and I filed a formal complaint that following Monday with the Chief Of Police. His name was Hector Hernandez and he was fired after that for doing something horrific to another girl that got pulled over after I did, so it is there job to abide by the law just like anyone else and they should not be allowed to harrass innocent people.

i strongly suggest that all who have suffered illegal and abusive treatment by the department should immediately call Shanon Akans at the michigan state police corunna and file a report.

That officer I know for sure was not fired for a crime. It was a part time officer and a deputy being investigated. I think I heard about your complaint. I think you were caught with drugs for the third time by three different departments. Of course you would not like the police. I was listening to the scanner that night and a second officer a female officer was called right after the officer pulled you over. I think you need to tell the whole story. I am going to find out your name and make sure you stop harrassing the police. Stop doing drugs and selling them. thats the real reason why you didnt like him, he was taking alot of drugs from the streets. I know alot of the community misses him for that. Some parents have even went to him with money for an attorney to get his job back. Say no to drugs!!!!

I know what really happened to those three cops .I heard my information from the person who got these cops fired.But im gonna tell you .Im glad two of them are gone.After what i heard what they did to kids in that town.They werent nice to at least three of them they had bruises and one had a concusion .You would have to live here and seen what went on especially at night.If you ask anybody in perry theyll tell why they were fired.I hear the rest are ok .I can tell you anybody says what happened to them in perry while those cops were on cant be lying.

It sounds like this highlyboosted may be friends with the ex cop of perry.Unless you live in perry you dont know what happens there.Any cop looks at young girls is wrong.If anybody has a problem with na cop.Tell the chief and the mayor and if that dont work go to a council meeting and address the public on cable tv.

What happened in the park with the kids. I was a witness. I live very near so I saw everything. Get the statements under the freedom of information and find our for yourself. You will know. Trust not what the cops write but what independent witness directly observed. The State police was also there and arrested two people. I am not trying to scare you but you are a drug user and a seller. You and your brother have been charged and in the process of being charged for both. I listen to the scanner and the cops said you had been charged with it and some was found that night in your car. Maybe we should get the tape from the county under the freedom of information to confirm that and allow you and other to hear it. What your trying to do is cover your criminal activity by blaming them rather than blaming yourself. Take responsiblity for your actions and dont blame the officers who enforce the law. You will find it all out under the freedom of information and when you do lets see if you dont think different. When I find out your name and I will, I will get all the cases from you under the freedom of information and tell people the case number the department and the charges. It is about time that the State Police get to investigating the Perry Police Department. Maybe they should also look into the fact that the officers on duty for 3rd shift are always sittin up at the 7/11. That they are never around when you need them. It is not a crime to have sex between two adults with consent. Allegations have been made that it was done on duty. PROVE IT. Said one officer that is fighting the charge. The other cant becuase he was on probation. NO FEMALE CAME forward to make that charge. The Allegation was made by the parttime officer who refused to come in to be questioned. He is being investagated. The STATE POLICE IS NOT INVESTIGATING THE FULL TIME OFFICERS FOR ANY CRIME. Get your facts, the truth will soon come out. I know the facts becuase I talk to reliable sources. You can expect some lawsuits to be filed when the smoke clears. The fact is that one of the officers arrested the Mayor son on felony charges and then the Chief hunts down for something to fire the officer. Dont believe me look it up.

He does not deserve his job back. He is a waste as a police officer. He does absolutely nothing but sit and harasses residents. When it comes time for him to do something regarding a case or anything of that nature, he tells dispatch to disregard. especially if the call is comming from someone in the Community that he doesn't like. Since when did the cops get to pick and choose, what residents they protect and ones they dont? How does officers get to sit on their Asses inside a gas station for most of their shifts? What good are they to the community if they are in eating DONUTS? Why are you so hell bent on getting this officer back in town? Is it because you have a personal intrest in the officer? or is it because you are the officer? Honestly I dont believe that your "reliable source" is really all that reliable.
