Hello Everyone,
My name is Bob Hanson, I am the new fundraising coordinator for the local area Salvation Army. I work with Duana Bremer and am a staff member at Grace Place homeless shelter in Somerset.
I am emailing this plea for help, hoping that it is another way to get the word out to the good people of the Polk county area. With the future opening of the new homeless shelter in Balsam lake early 2008 we need all the extra help we can get.
I REALLY NEED HELP WITH VOLUNTEERS SUNDAY DEC. 16TH AND DURING THE DAYTIME HOURS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!
So Far we have had a lot of volunteers ringing the bells for our red kettle campaign at WalMart and Marketplace in St. Croix Falls this year, but we have a lot of open times that I am having trouble filling coming up in December. I still have some Friday, Saturday and Sundays available but I have a huge need for volunteers Monday thru Thursday in the day and early evening hours.
We are also willing to set up kettles at the local area grocery stores in Frederick, Luck, Balsam Lake, Osceola and Amery. If anyone is interested in coordinating some volunteers for the weekends for these areas I am willing to get things set up.
The Salvation Army plays a huge role in helping those in need in our county. The money raised during our Red Kettle Campaign accounts for over 90% of the funds we use during the year. 89% of the proceeds we receive STAYS IN POLK COUNTY!
Please help us help those who need the help the most. 2 hours of your time ringing the bells for those who are less fortunate pays off in so many ways including knowing that your time and effort has helped someone in need.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or ideas you may have to help with our drive for bell ringers. I appreciate your time and hope that you will mention this plea during your services and conversations.

Thank you and God Bless!

I would like to Schedule Cub Scout Pack 160 and Boy Scout Troop 160 for ringing the bell on Nov. 16th, 2013 at Marketplace Foods from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. I prefer Marketplace over Walmart as my den is the kindergarten boys and there is larger distance from where we ring the bell and traffic at Marketplace than at Walmart. Maybe some of the older boys could handle Walmart. I can be reached at [email protected] Thank you, Trudee
