One of my colleages was talking to some of the law enforcement on our lunch break and one of the detectives have mentioned that the shootings and arsons that are plaguing the general areas are in some way becoming more prevalent. They are trying to arrange some task force to see if the cops and detectives can combat the problem. The incident over at the Halpine Apartments on Twinbrook Pwwy. could be "the work of an arsonist" according to one of the detectives that I had a conversation with at Apollos Restaurant in Rockville. This "all hands on deck" conducted by Cathy Lanier may help a little in curbing crime but getting it down and keeping it down is a daunting task according to Major Dianne Groomes who works in the NE section. It will take a "miracle" to accomplish what we are hoping for.

What can you say. Change the demographics and you'll change the crime rate. That is the only way it will happen. Heck it's the same everywhere they are, thats not just a remark, it's a proven fact. I just can't get it. Why do they have to live like savages? Is it because it's in the DNA or what?!

You leave racist remarks on every story you post on. Why don't you travel to a planet that has no people like "them" or let's just say it outright, "black people". What are you afraid of? We are not the only race of people who commit crimes. We are not the only murderers, child molestors, robbers, etc. Evil has no color. We all bleed the same blood. We were all created equal by the same GOD. In the end days we will all be judged together as ONE.

Good News from Millen Ga.
Man killed by sheriff's deputy
A local man was shot and killed in the early morning hours of Saturday, April 26, by a Jenkins County Sheriff's Department deputy responding to a 9-1-1 call.
Law enforcement declined to release the name of the victim or the deputy, stating that it would not be appropriate to do so since the investigation was ongoing. However, other sources have identified the victim as Patrick Neeley, 44, of Garfield. The deputy has been identified as Officer John Sharkey.
A sheriff's department spokesman reported that a deputy was dispatched to the 4966 Gamm Gay Road residence as a result of a 9-1-1 call from the residence. Upon arrival, the deputy was assaulted by a suspect with a pistol, and the deputy shot and killed the suspect.
The incident is under investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI). When that investigation is concluded, the district attorney's office will review the findings, as is the normal procedure.
