West County Church Must Downsize In Bleak Economy

WEST ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO - In this economy, plenty of households have had to downsize, but a house of God? While members struggle with the economy so are many churches.

It is sad when a church can not meet its debts, but as Kevin said, God provides and takes care of his people. The church is the people, not the building, and West County has wonderful and caring people.

Kevin was correct as the government would have us believe, however the unemployment rate is actually closer to 17% as the government will not count folks like myself who were downsized without unemployment benefits and those whose benefits have expired. I do not believe the news article was about a building, but about a depression the country is falling deeper into and the governments ostrich head in the sand response.
