Residents, railway battle over crossings
A battle is brewing about what to do with three railroad crossings near Ballston Lake.Full Story

Being that these three crossings are PRIVATELY owned, I would say it is up to those homeowners that use them to do so safely. Perhaps, they should turn the driveway ownership over to the town and let the town petition the state for crossing warnings. Oh, I forgot, the town wouldn't want any part of that because they would be liable for a percentage of the cost.

I know how concerned C&P is regarding safety, I'm sure they'll do anything to protect those who cross the tracks as well as those using the tracks. Good work!! Speed up the trains and narrow the crossings, I believe that's the correct approach, right!
