This one is easy to figure out. It is sad a man died and but even sadder than they are charging the guy who ran.
Face it! If the Trooper had used any good judgement except I am a Trooper and you don't run from me, then he would be alive today. If someone set it up for you and told you that you could go 200MPH down Hwy 15 and no one would stop you BUT normal traffic would be in place, would you do it? Hell no, but these MHP'S, and all cops will. He should have thought, the Hell with the guy my folks are waiting on me to eat a steak and I am retiring in a few months. He just gives it hell and for everything it is worth. The big part is this... How easy woiuld it have been for that Trooper to kill an entire family on that road? He could have killed HIS family. We have one guy running fast and now we have two. Which makes the most sense? If I was on the jury the guy would walk because the Trooper killed himself and he was NOT protecting me and you but adding to endangering our lives!! Just because he has a badge and gun and no one will stop him does not entitle him to run that fast on that road or any road, inculding interstates. I hate to see them run like that and I usually file complaints against them. It is stupid, unrational, and incompetent to do it and most always ends in death. High speed chases are not worth it. If they don't put the brakes on these road rage maniac MHP's then you will see more deaths and they could be your mother, daddy, sister, brother, kids, or even YOU!!! Hazzard of the job my friend, you made the call and you lost!! RIP

Its a shame this happened, however Im sure he knew who this man was, and could of captured him later. I guess they belive their own bullshit and belive they are god and indestruible. Your right, should of learned to drive, should of trained better. Its his job, he knew the dangers, Just another way to send someone to the pen.

I do not agree with the charges. It was the choice of the HP to persue and not stop when he was in over his head. I have been told we are in a do not persuit state when it poses a danger to any involved over a Misdemenor such as speeding. Also, it may have been the actions of the runner that led to, but he did not actually have action in the officers death. If I cause a person to cry and they accidentally walk in to traffic, should I go to jail for Manslaughter? NO!!! It just sjows how our Judges and law makers are trying to keep us repressed and under thunb.

When the trooper say the chase was getting dangerous he should have used his head and stop chasing. He was the officer so he could have prevented this accident by stopping. It's nor the 25 year olds fault that the trooper lost control of his car. Yes he should be charged with speeding, reckless driving and fleeing, but not manslaughter!!! Get real

This still amazes me!!! Who would have thought this could happen in America?
I guess if a HP wrecks on the way to work an accident they can charge the person who was at fault?

hope dude gets at least 75 years. yes the trooper couldve stopped, but so couldve the suspect. the trooper was trying to stop him so he didnt hit some other vehicle, innocent, possibly with kids, at 115mph. charging him with the manslaughter charge may teach other dumb@$$es that try to evade the cops a lesson. takes a coward to not stop to begin with. if you gonna have the b@ll$ to do the crime, have the b@ll$ to stop for the blue lights. bunch of little punk @$$ hippies

The kid was speeding. That was stupid he could have hurt someone. However he didn't. The trooper died trying to catch up to him. The kid wasn't even in sight when the cop died. The trooper knew who he was. He had his tag number why did he just go to his address and wait on him? The trooper could just as easily ran over and killed someone else chasing him. The both acted careless and the trooper unfortunately died as a result. I do think the kid should be punished, but let the punishment fit the crime.

I am sorry for the life that was lost and none of us can change that outcome.

I from that area and hood was chasing will and doing his job! Ya all be all for it if will had run over one of ya all or caused you a lost one but since hood the hp lost his life will should walk! Will run and caused the whole chain of events so yes he should pay and do the time! Maybe as a hp hood should of used better judgement in the chase but he knew the area well. Now his family ones suffering wit the lost why you all want a guilty man to walk free! That not right. God be wit the hood family and the judgement of the courts. I hope they make he right chose!

The kid should be made an example of. He made his decision to break the law that we all abide by. Now he's gonna pay for it.
