I hope so. These idiots that are running the city now have really hurt the city. Their ordinance 1290. stopped new businesses from coming to town. It closed up businesses, and nearly doubled the unemployment rate. Baldwin Park now has the highest unemployment in California. Over 17 percent. Even the Baldwin Park Chamber of Commerce closed their door. It takes business to employ the citizens. It takes businesses to advance a community. When Citizens cant find employment crime flourishes. Propery value goes down. Baldwin Park officials have impounded 7,865 cars last year. Royal Coaches made nearly 7 million dollars from the 30 day impounds. Baldwin Park took in 1.2 million dollars. That is almost 9 million dollars taken out of the community and put in the pockets of one tow truck company. It had nothing to do with Public Safety, because Royal Coaches would sell the cars right back to unlicensed drivers.

That 9 million dollars was not spent in the city. Residents paid Royal Coaches for another car. As a result they had less money for food and clothing and goods from local businesses. That money was taken out of the community. Royal Coaches didnít buy their clothes and food from Baldwin Park stores.

I sure hope someone runs to get these clowns out of here. Baldwin Park economy will not recover as long as these idiots are holding it back.

Unemployment is really high. Serious Crime is really up.

You stand a better chance of getting killed in Baldwin Park then you do in landing a good job.

The idiots that need to go are as follows MONICA and PACHECO and if someone would step up the Mayor but we won't be greedy on the mayor. Why not the mayor because he follows the majority and has never been a leader so who really cares about him. I do know we will be cleaning out the parks and rec. employees who are the friends of the council this year. I guess since MONICA wants to know who's running so she can prepare herself here it goes.

1. Al Contreas
2. Victor Saldana
3. Huego Taz
4. Craig Cook
5. Terry Muse
6. Bianca Rubio
7. Jack White [not confirmed yet]
Well there you have it and let the mud slinging begin. I hear that Monica Garcia will lose the union support this year and will be caught up in a scandal about?????? I love surprises don't you?

Hey they tried to put this person in planning commission until the city attorney said no and the mayor tried to ignore the advice and so did Marlen Garcia but finally they had to listen to him and stopped the voting. This council will stop at nothing to get their people in and the word is out they will stab Pacheco in the back just like Bejarano in the last election. I hear there is a lot of scandal from the neighboring cities of bell city that will force Pacheco out of the race.

When the truth comes out all Marlen can say is she is stupid. I wonder how long it has been since she has picked anyone up at the elephant bar for a quickie? I hear after she cooks the daughter a healthy meal at IN and OUT burgers she goes to the waterholes around town with Monica Garcia to pickup some unfortunate person. I guess that is why she is on Prozac because of all the rejections at the bars.

. Hey marlen please tell us how you know so much about holt street. I hear that valley blvd is your favorite and they give council discounts. Hey how's those healthy meals working for you at farmer boys drive thru? If you were mother of the year you would prepare breakfast for your daughter. Why do you keep bringing your daughter to council meetings to have her friends read s prepared speech by you it is so funny. I think it is time for you to go because you are used to dealing with idiOts like you we see and are told all by your so called friends. the people you give jobs to in comissions and housing hate you but they love the perks like free meals. The idiot with her war veteran crap loves to talk on you along with vargas in water dept. You my pathetic person have no real friends.

You're either very stupid or are purposely misleading people. To say that 1290 "doubled" the unemployment rate is ridiculous. Baldwin Park's unemployment rate (much like the u.r. of EVERYWHERE ELSE), is tied to it's demographic. Many of BP's residents worked in the construction business. The construction business took one of the largest hits for unemployment.

When you have a large immigrant population, with a low rate of college degrees, your unemployment rate will be higher than other places b/c of the type of work that normally employs your populace. Do some research or stfu.

It sounds like your talking about the city.council members no education and low income. When you deter manufacturing in the city there goes low income jobs dummy. Please check the original restriction of 1290 it ban all low income jobs to force people out.

What? I think your saying that 1290 would ban all low income jobs in the city of BP. If you are. What have you been smoking? Are you drunk?

When someone looses their job, the last thing they want to hear is the city council banned businesses from coming to the city. Even if you do loose your construction job, they still have to provide the essentials for their family. Any kind of job temporary or not would be a welcome alternative from being unemployed.

Why donít you tell us exactly what effect did 1290 have on jobs in the city. Then tell us 1290 had no effect on the jobless rate in Baldwin Park. Highest unemployment in the San Gabriel valley. You sound like a Shitt sales man with a mouth full of samples.

What the person is saying is these are jobs the city doesn't have. You have stated this town does not house highly educated people and the ones that do get an education come back and try to steal from their own people. I can think of a few right now like Fidel Vargas,Anthony Bejarano, and Monica Garcia. I can't forget the mayor also he moved to orange county then came back and guess what filed Bankruptcy then headed for city politics while being a security guard at hospitals. I remind you again what you said it is a low income town with middle and low income people and a council that is below low class and that will never change. Marlen was divorced twice and broke on her ass living anywhere and claimed she lived with her parents to get money for a little shack but in that time she got into politics and found it very rewarding financially just like all the previous mayors and council people who have served Baldwin Park. I say clean out the low class council first then work on the city getting better.

Well since 1290 only impacts the downtown area, I'd say IF it had any impact on the unemployment rate it would be 10% or less of the entire number of those unemployed. Even if 1290 didn't go into effect and all of these imaginary businesses sprouted up, there's no guarantee they would hire exclusively BP residents.

Come election time I will gauge my vote as follows:

When I walk out of my house:

the streets are as clean as they've ever been (29 year resdient).

the streets are as safe as they've ever been...

the parks are as nice as they've ever been....

There are more restaurants and stores than there's ever been...

So I will definitely be voting for Mayor Lozano and Monica Garcia.

The 1290 is all the redevelopment which is
Almost one third of the city. Thanks to the slow acting council to change this it has cost hundreds of jobs. The people like you who vote for this idiots is why our city is indebit 55 million dollars and growing by the month.

You have no idea what is going on in Baldwin Park.

The City of Baldwin Park is against businesses and fiscal responsibility.

1290 is a failed ordinance. It just lowers property values making Baldwin Park a difficult place to do business.

The City Council has hired incompetent employees sucking the city dry. Many incompetent employees need to be terminated. Many positions do not even need replacement.

How can we let these backwards policies continue?

Many of the current council members believe they can turn Baldwin Park into Beverly Hills. However, they do not understand economic feasibility of such a plan.

This plan is flawed. 1290 is flawed. If everyone within the 1290 outline is against it. It is obviously a bad proposal. It is not the way to improve Baldwin Park. It is only holding Baldwin Park back.

I don't see any evidence that the City is against Business. Other than the dumpy tore up businesses in the downtown and industrial zones, the rest of the businesses seem to thrive and have the city's support.

I don't think anyone thinks they can turn BP in to Beverly Hills. BUt there is nothing wrong to aspire to a better BP with more economic diversity.

Re-Elect Garcia and Lozano!!!!!

Say NO to the party of NO-- Tuttle and clowns.
