Baldwin Park red light camera's

Motorists who get tickets under the city's controversial red-light camera program can shrug them off, Los Angeles officials agreed Monday.
"There's no real penalty in terms of your driver's license or any other consequences if you don't pay."
An audit by City Controller Wendy Greuel last year found that the cameras cost the city more than it receives in revenue, and that the program has not "conclusively shown to have increased public safety."
Nothing but a revenue maker. Baldwin Park Officials are robing the public for their perks and pensions. They totally disregard the fact that they are taking money out of the local economy and sending the majority of the money to Arizona. Arizona company gets rich. and Baldwin Park economy suffers. We need to get rid of Lozano and Monica and Pachecko next election.
How can this clownsil claim to know more than the the five-member committee recommended that the full City Council endorse an earlier decision by the Los Angeles Police Commission to terminate the camera program at the end of the month.
We have a lieing gay, unemployed, bankrupt Mayor and two Bimbo's making bad decisions that continue to stall the local economy.

Hey let us not forget the two idiots in the city staff who did their half ass research and cost the city a half a million dollars for this years red light camera contract. They are Lili Hadsell and Vijay the city manager. These two idiots have no verified proof they get income and the only reason accidents go down at those intersections is people will drive a different route to stay away from the red light intersections. I also thought we boycotted Arizona and any companies doing business in Arizona. Oh I am bad that was unless we need them right council. The council even held a rally to protest Arizona's new laws and guess what the only people who came was the band. Wow how stupid can this current council get.

I think when we elect Marlen as Mayor and we have a brighter mind at the wheel things might get better. She will have something to prove. And if she is Mayor she will be in the loop. Vijay and the city staff wont keep secrets from her any more.
I say Marlen for Mayor. Just look at her accomplishments. I had no idea she is so active in the community.
I have said it before and I will say it again.
Marlen for Mayor

Actually, The Red Light program was instituted by Chief Kling. And supported by Lopez after him. Hadsell inherited the program.
Since you two are so against any type of police related revenue, what are your ideas for the City to raise revenues? Remember, City revenues largely pay for city services.
#5 Jul 26, 2011
BOY AM I GLAD YOU ASKED THAT QUESTION.
Its not that I am against law enforcement.
I think that Lozano Monica and Marlen should get rid of their 12290 ordnance and allow business to come to Baldwin Park.
That is what pays for city services. sales tax, business licenses permits. all are related to growth.
For the police to impact the public in an attempt to pay for programs is wrong. The tow scandal was wrong and the city and the police department received pennies compared to the millions of dollars Royal Coaches received. The community is the looser. In one year the tow scandal took 10 million dollars from the citizens. that was ten million dollars that was not spent in the community.
So you think its alright to call in the police to pick our pockets to pay for what the city cant pay because of their poor decisions.
Well I don't

Oh and I forgot to mention that the gangs were completely ignored while every available officer was assigned to revenue detail.
What is more important the police taking on the city revenue detail because of poor city decisions or Public safety.
We have blood on the streets

Wow you get paid to make the decisions and you want free information I don't thing so. The city of BP pays thousands of dollars a year for consultants but they can't seem to remember the police duties are to protect and serve not make money you idiot. I suggest whip out your checkbook and then we can finish the talk. The police chief had the chance to drop the red light deal last year but because of her lack of experience in the finance world chose to piss away another half a million dollars in city funds that will not make the city one dime. I will give this one free to you go hire the sheriffs and save millions a year and get real protection without the political interference from the city manager.

What if, I didn't pay the ticket and don't show up for court, what will happen?.. Since, why am I getting a bill from Arizona that is not even working for the city or county of Los Angeles !! And who ever sent the mail or review the video is even a law inforcement of California? Anyone that have done this, not paying or not showing up for court, please let me know what happen... So, this is like paying a bill to a company in AZ, that I never receive or any good or service done, and never sign anything... This is very stupid of the city of baldwin park to split part of the money to Redflex company in AZ.. please reply.. to some of the question.. that some have got red-light tickets..
#9 Aug 31, 2011
Ok The way I understand it . When you get a ticket you have been arrested for violating the vehicle code.
The police officer will demand that you sign the ticket or he can take you to jail. By signing the ticket you are promising to appear. You are being released on your own recognizance.
Well with a red light camera ticket you get a ticket in the mail and you did not promise to appear. So you don't have to.
What our real smart Officials are doing is tasking money from the local economy and sending it to Arizona. Nice isn't it. In a recession.
A bunch of brain dead bastards.
Thats the way I understand it. Los Angeles City Council members publicly told the citizens that they should ignore the red light tickets.
good luck to you.

Well, I'm suppose to go to court monday, but don't have time, take kid to dentist, spent $2500.. Don't have $$$ to pay the ticket. So, any suggestion or anyone that have not show up or pay the ticket? And what will happen? Is there a article about the Los Angeles City Council members publicly told the citizens that they should ignore the red light tickets?

Well the great little city manager and police chief decided to spend over another half a million dollars on red camera crap for this year. These brain dead city officials still can't figure out they are not making any money but la with their educated people figured it out there is no money being made it is a scam. Monica Garcia voted for this stupid ideal also vote her out.

You did not promise to appear. Los Angeles did away with their cameras because there is no way to enforce them.

You really think that getting rid of 1290 is the magic bullet? Look at budgets for the years prior to 1290. Even with a robust housing market, tax revenues based on the businesses that existed in the BPCBD prior to 1290 did not provide significantly more revenue. In fact, from 2003-2005 (before 1290)the city needed to use reserve funds to balance the budget. And, although the City has made cuts since then, the cost of providing services has gone up since then (fuel, inflation, personnel costs, etc.)
I know that you and the other posters like to go on and on and summarily make the conclusory statement that 1290 is bankrupting the City and that Superior would put a dent in BP's unemployment rate, but really, the evidence and numbers don't support your assertions.

A car enter the intersection at Union Street and Lake Avenue Friday, May 25. Pasadena City will terminate its Red Light Camera program effective June 30, when contract with outside vendor expires. The reasons for cancellation is are cost overruns, and the city inability to enforce the tickets.(SGVN/Staff Photo by Walt Mancini)
PASADENA - The end is nigh for the flashing strobes and clicking shutters of red light cameras that have become the bane of drivers' throughout Pasadena over the past five years.
The red light cameras will stop snapping pictures of motorists June 30.
After court challenges nixed red light cameras in Los Angeles, cost overruns in Pasadena's own red light program contributed to its demise, officials said.
The city spent close to $350,000 to operate the red light camera program, and hauled in about $340,000, which Pasadena split with the state. The program lost money and now Pasadena will terminate its contract with red light camera operator American Traffic Solutions.

2011 decision by the Los Angeles Superior Court that essentially said it was OK for drivers caught on camera to skip court dates.
Since motorists received their tickets in the mail and didn't sign an agreement to appear in court at the time of the citation, they could not be bound to show up or pay the fine, the court decided.
Pasadena found itself saddled with a camera system that captured red light runners, but a court
reluctant to enforce tickets.

Hey Vejay Monica the monkey, the Prozac queen Marlen and of course Bozo Lozano.
Don't you think its time to get rids of those red light camera's
Or are you going to continue taking money from the local economy and sending it to Arizona.
Vejay you couldnt manage a goat herd.

okay so just to clear this up
i got a ticket in baldwin park
the car is under my dads name
but i show up as the driver in the picture
what should my dad do?
should he go to court? or should he just not mind it at all ?
#19 Jul 8, 2012
Please call Chief Hadsell and she will explain this to you since she is the idiot who has the city paying 300,000.00 a month for these worthless pieces of crap. The answer is whoever is driving the car at the time of the infraction should go. Then go to the judge explain you have no money and barely make ends meet the judges hate red flex cameras and usually they will reduce the fine by more then have. Then by the time BP idiots get their piece of the ticket it wasn't even worth paying for the cameras. The city of Los Angeles got smart but the dumb Latino council still haven't figured it out yet in Baldwin Park that red flex cameras don't make money and the system is to hard to figure if your really making money.
#20 Jul 8, 2012
Don't ask the Chief Shittt. That's what you will get in return.
Simply have your dad go to court and tell them it was not him. period.
Then if you live in Baldwin Park. Don't vote for these idiots.
