<quoted text> It very odd to me that you use a Latin phrase in you screen name that has been used by cowardly assigns from Brutus to Booth but you try to represent a person of authority. So with that said I will do you one better. Abusus non tollit usum scribimus indocti doctique poemata passim absit iniuria verbis!

I'm hardly a person of authority. I can only speak from my experience and training, overseas and at home. My original post was just to say that no woman should be subjected to aussault by anyone, whether they pose as a cop, a doctor, or a friend. Gunplay is obviously a last resort, but it is a very trustworthy option when one is under direct and immediate threat of physical harm. If one is truly prepared, there is little room for fear...fugit impius nemine persequente iustus autem quasi leo confidens absque terrore erit...
Brutus was definitely a traitor and a coward. But the phrase Sic Semper Tyrannis was used by American patriots long before Booth uttered those words. I don't reckon Booth as a coward, but as a confused patriot. The timing of Lincoln' s death was quite inconvenient for all of those involved!
BTW- I'm not a Latin scholar. All I know of Latin, I learned from hisory and Catholic tradition. Most of my language studies are spent on ancient Greek and French.

I was not acting in an official capacity at any of those times, but the local PD was involved in one of them, and was thankful for my armed presence. I am currently not a police officer, but I supervise night security on airport property, subject to TSA, DHS, and FAA. I have worked with, and trained with, DoD,city and state officers, Secret Service, and FBI as well as civilian contractors, security gaurds, bounty hunters and PIs. While serving as an officer for a given jurisdition provides certain legal protections, private contractors are free of many constraints placed on government employees.
Really and truly my job is quite boring. In the past, I saw a bit of excitement, and had contact with a lot interesting folks. But it's been over 4 years since I've had to act officially in the interest of L/E. I've assisted the PD and county a few times since then, but despite my previous training and ops, I'm little more than a babysitter.
I was gonna pick your post apart and show you where you lied but there is no use. I think you actually believe all the Bs that you are spewing.
Have a good one.

You make a good point but not all of the wicked flee, some shoot back and I know a lot of righteous or a least they seem to be righteous people that are cowardly lions. But I have to admit Proverbs 28:1 is one of my favorite passages from the Bible.

I noticed that you list Ecclesiastes as your favorite book. Have you ever paid much attention to Ecclesiasticus if you like the former you will love the latter.

As far as Booth is concerned I never really thought of him as a patriot, I think he was just pissed at Abe for the death of his friend John Beall, a former classmate at the University of Virgina. Beall it seems had run to a bit of a pickle for piracy on Lake Erie. Booth had pleaded with Lincoln to commute his charges and after Lincoln had agreed, Beall was executed anyway, Or that's how the story goes. With your studies in Catholic tradition I'm surprised you did not mention that there is a belief that the Catholics were behind the death of honest Abe. But I guess this is way off topic. I can't say I agree with every thing you say but I have to admit you are certainly a interesting character.

Thank you. I may be on the lunatic fringe, but I try not to ever intentionally lie. A man has very few things that he can truly hold on to in this life. One of them is his integrity.

BTW- Are you from Van Buren town, or Van Buren COunty? I own a little property in Van Buren county.

Thank you. As far as Booth, I think Beall was the straw that broke the camels back. But to shoot him post-war and pre-construction was probably the worst timing EVER. My sympathies are obviously Southern, but assasination (especially outside of wartime) is quite ignoble. Also, I think Lincoln had plans for African repatriation (think Liberia), that would have likely made our "civil rights era" a minor event.

I have read Ecclesiasticus and really enjoyed it. The apocrypha makes for neat history, and the wisdom literature contained in it seems pretty close to inspired. I also find reference to the apocrypha in the "canonical" NT interesting. Most humourous of all (to me at least) are that most of the folks who insist on the KJV, don't realize that the apocrypha was included in the first several editions, and wasn't totally excluded from all editions until the 1880's or so!

I tell folks I'm illiterate in several languages. Fluent in Neo-Melanesian, embarassing in French, and struggling in Koine!

You probably own all of Van Buren County, the town, and most of the state. I bet you are even the mayor, governor, and tax collector. Plus you are a Ninja. Go Away with your lies.

Ok, skunkbait tell me where you work so I can come there and expose you for the sham that you are.
I got lots of time and I will expose you for the big mouth liar that you are.

Oh Wait, I bet you can't because you will be on assignment for the FBI, The CIA, and the PDQ.

Stop Lying and stop using phony double names. Your isp Shows you are coming from the same place after dumping your cookies. Duh!

No double names here. I do use multiple computers, and for the last comment wasn't signed in, but I think you're mislead. I HAVE used another name on an unrelated post, as the name was more related to the topic. I see that someone from VB has used "phony double names" on this post.

Like I said before, I'm a desk jockey for several years, in an uneventful position. Haven't dealt with FBI in years (and never worked FOR them), never dealt with anyone (actively/directly) working for the CIA, and I'm fairly sure the PDQ (Pariahs, Dipsomaniacs,& Quislings?) is your department.

What is it that you find so hard to believe? That I've had some training? That I've actually ventured outside of Hog territory? That I've met and worked with some interesting folks? How hard is it to believe that an Arky, might actually get an education and a little life experience beyond eating roadkill and sipping muscadine wine?

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Pisces

Family, friends and in-laws are all hard to please. It is better to please yourself for once, dear Pisces, than to bang your head against a wall. You need to relax and get in touch with your own feelings. Do not hesitate to speak up for someone you care about. Someone may try to curtail your freedom. Set them straight and do not give in.
