It's the news Tejano fans have been anxiously waiting to hear. News 4 learned late Thursday afternoon that Emilio Navaira is opening his eyes and responding to his family for the first time since his bus ...

"We knew something was happening," said Casias. "We called in his wife and sister. Then she ran out and said 'Emilio is back, he's awake, he can hear me'."

Casias said Emilio squeezed his wife's hand and tears came out of his eyes when his son Diego spoke to him at his bedside.

What a blessing to show all of us that God is in charge of our lives and to acknoweldge him in all we do. Stop and smell the roses! God made them for me and you. Our lives would be nothing without him and THIS miracle of Emilio is proof that God is REAL and loves each of us and has showed us that if we beleive - all things are possible with Him. To all Emilio's family, friends and fans - our prayers were answered by Almighty God! Lets love one another in the Lord and never forget our blessing and thank him every day!

As of this morning March 31st. Emilio is still in "Critical" condition and in a medically induced coma. He has a long road ahead of him if he survives the brain injury.

I know that his family and friends are his support and I hope they know that our prayers will comfort them with strength, faith and hope that all will be fine.

Emilio has let down alot of his fans. I just don't understand why he does not go out and seek the help that he desperately needs. He could have killed other innocent people that were on the bus with him. A real disappointment. Hopefully he will not get away with it like he has before.
