What are the best areas of Bakersfield?

I just moved to Bakersfield in 2006. I live in the north-west area. We absolutely love it here. We have great neighbors, beautiful homes and good schools around here. There is some bad areas in Bakersfield like all the east side and Oildale, (no offense)but its like anywhere else, there is always a bad area. Try the northwest. You won't regret it.

To all who read this. If you are planning to relocate to Bakersfield be warn. I lived there for a number of years and I know what I am talking about. There are two parts of the city in Bakersfield you need not move into unless you do not value your life and property. East Bakersfield, and Southeast Bakersfield. You have number of Gangs who control those areas.

The best schools are Centenial, Liberty and Stockdale, and they are full of pretensious asshole parents, so I took mine out and put them in BHS, by buying a condo in Quailwood and claiming residency there, while I kept the main house in rosedale, the kids grew up well rounded and are lawyers and potential doctors both graduating from East Coast universities, and never want to come back.
The Sheriff department and the corporations are swindling homeowners with no insider connection with false foreclsoures and there are four judges part of the scam.
But welcome to bako the land of the corrupt hicks.

I have also lived in Bakersfield for a long time, and this place is a shit hole. People are rude and stupid here( its in the water I think) Even people out of town make fun of this place.I knew someone that was going to move here and they said someone else told them that when they get here to not drink the water lol.Anywho I'm also tired of hearing of all the crimes on the news. The only fricken ok mall that we have ( and its not even that big) and we get stabbing victims there I dont think this place can get any worse. All I know is someone in the police department is not doing their job and needs to get kicked outta there.
