Why does everyone have to get their hackles up over such mindless stuff? this intelligent, sweet girl died and that is sad part. P.S. Have you read the report of over 5000 military personnel who were studied because of their quick responsiveness to roadside bombs? It SEEMS men from South Carolina and people from cities with higher violent crime rates are MUCH more effective in SEEING and responding to the landscape where bombs are hidden. Interesting report and far more worthwhile than blathering on about LaPuente/Beverly Hills. Thank you

Moreover, it isn't our business to know, leave that to the investigators. Focus on healing those who are in need right now, including the driver. All of us who drive could, and can, find ourselves in a situation like this at any given moment. In respect of Miss McCanne and her family, please don't post judgmental or racist remarks. Please don't use the same messege board ID (Glendora Resident) as myself. If you must, please sound like me. I would never be so polite. Oh, and to the the teacher, ur right about your,.... ahem...you're.

She was a beautiful person in every way and think she would be so upset to hear what thought less people are saying about the driver. There isn't one of you that drive that hasn't done something similar, I know I have, and we have just been fortunate to not have had an accident. The family is grieving enough without hearing what is being written on this blog. Her mom is so worried about the driver and how he is going to cope with this and he certainly doesn't need to hear the crap that people are saying. Take a long look at yourselves before you judge this young man. Take a lesson from this young woman that has been lost and remember life is to short to be angry or hurtful. That is what she would say I know.

Yup, I used to drive the 15 passenger vans all the time at work and only needed my regular drivers license. They are very hard to drive though and I would never think about going 80 in one of those boats.

driver carelessness? maybe. only thinking about himself? probably not. ya got 10 other MSAC students, that the driver probably didn't even know, probably all telling him to go around the truck, i think that's called peer pressure, guy fell for it, panicked when things didn't go right and boom. if i was driving, i wouldn't give a dam about what any other student was telling me, I'm driving, they aren't. they don't like it, oh well, but to automatically say charge the 25 year old college student with the maximum offense? yeah right, you're ridiculous in times of grief.
I'm going on a MSAC field trip in about a week, nervous, because there seems to be a lot of people that might fall for the old peer pressure (if that was even the case, because after all, you and I weren't there) I'm volunteering to drive and like i said, don't care what the rest of these so-called 'fellow classmates of mine' think about my conservative driving. Safe and sound, the way to be.
Such a tragedy. My prayers are with the family and Kaitlyn. Didn't know you, but ya sounded awesome.

This is an internet discussion forum with a number of different characters that frequently surf here. If the family is looking for favorable opinion on the internet, or trying to stop it, or making it a memorial to their daughter, they do not know the internet and should spend their time focused on the ones they really love and care for. They need to forget about the internet opinion, often known to be facicious, comical, rude and petty.
