quit whining and let your husband work. Dont be mad cause you can't call him whenever you want to check up on him. If you cry like this to him all the time he might be looking for someone else....ooops said too much.

You are a total dipshit! Why don't you get real before someone fixes your ass up? I bet if you were getting your ass beat you will need a police officer to help you.

Hey truth, your a freaking liar. What's your call sign?? If you did work for Bainbridge you would know that the radios half work and the dispatchers suck even worse. Chad Stewart and Martha Reynolds suck total ass. All they do is give the police attitude on the radio when they try to do their jobs. Hey Martha turn off the tv. Chad stop drinking your little faggot waters and work!!

Truth is Cheif Funderburke is not in a elected position. Maybe someone should tell the city council to make the position an elected position. Then things would get done right by the citizens.

Hell. Anyone remember the time in the early '80s when the Tally PD drove Chevy Citations? Every time they transmitted messages over the radio the car died. LOL.

to bringing the heat - you had a good idea - why don't you go to the next city council meeting and suggest that the Director of Public Safety be changed to an elected position. I am sure they would listen to you since you are speaking on behalf of all the citizens of Bainbridge - also why do those two disptachers that you have singled out do to "suck ass" as you say - which ones are they - I hear allot of different dispatchers on the radio - also why don't you go and apply for a job there since you seems to have all the answers for the citizens of Bainbridge - just curious

I agree with the heat...those two dispatchers are very hateful to the police officers. I often listen to them ignore the officers when they are trying to call in and also you can obviously hear the dispatchers having a great time out there laughing and yelling. I agree that we do need a different chief. He is set in his old ways and as crooked as a j-bird. The officers do need cell phones, have any of you listened to the bleed over on the radios? There are alot of times the officers traffic is not even getting out because of it. I think we do have some very good officers working up there now. I know Hank Day and Rusty Day both very well. They have both been doing an outstanding job considering that they are both brand new. Ryan Deen is also a new officer that seems to be trying to do things the right way. Instead of criticizing these guys why don't we show them that we appreciate what they do!!

I'm going to have to call bullshit on the dispatchers ignoring the officers when they're calling on the radio. And as far as the yelling in the background, have you ever considered that one of the other dispatchers in the room is taking a call and trying to instruct them how to do CPR on someone not breathing? People that don't work in the 911 field always amaze me with how they think they know so much. Please come and try to do the job. Bet you'll be crying to your mommy within an hour.
I'm sure it would be quite entertaining if we knew the true identity of "bringing the heat." My guess is he's some snot-nosed rookie on the road that doesn't even know how to talk on the radio.

Officers today need any type of equipment to make their jobs safer. Everyone needs to stop making comments and do what is right for the officer. The four officers that were ambushed in Lakewood are prime examples of the dangers these men and women can encounter. If an officers radio is disabled for any reason he should have access to a back communication(Cell phone). When was the last time you were out in the dark all alone looking for someone carrying a deadly weapon? Wouuld you do the job.

There should be nothing more than hearing a phone ring when dispatching a call. If you are trying to give someone instructions on how to give CPR and you are yelling then you are making that situation worse. You have to remain calm, and cool and not yell and scream into the phone.
Now before your dunbass says anything yes I have worked at 911. In fac I have worked inthe 911 center in decatur county. So yes i know what I am talking about.
You call a police officer asnot nosed rookie. Remember what YOU SAID. iT AMAZES ME ON PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT IN LAW ENFORCEMENT THINK THEY KNOW SO MUCH. The shoe goes on your foot to, dont forget that.

I'm sure there's a reason you don't work there anymore. And I'm sorry, but occasionally you have to talk sternly to panicked callers to get their attention. If you never had to then you were a shitty dispatcher yourself.

Peace!

Everything you said is very true, but BPS stays within City jurisdiction. The Sheriff's dept, GSP, and anyone else with county jurisdiction or greater are the ones all over. I do believe the sheriff's dept still has their cell phones.

What is concerning is not so much the cell phones, but the radio system. Is it because we need to upgrade? Maybe instead of griping so much about the cell phones, we should be looking into a new radio system with better quality that will benefit everyone?

Why are you sorry i am happy, i make a hell of allot more money where i am at now...but anyway sternly and yelling into a phone where you can be heard over another persons microphone when they are talking to someone else on the radio is uncalled for, and you know it. Remember your first duty is NOT to the person on the phone, it is to the officers in the field who rely on YOU for information and directions, and possibly to relay traffic and get them assistance if they need it. If you dont know that then you ARE a shitty dispatcher.

This sounds like a 911 dispatcher. Probably one of the dispatchers being talked about earlier. Guess what, if you do your job you have nothing to worry about. I do listen to the scanner and I have never heard directions for CPR being given out. Instead I hear a bunch of people laughing. Yes there are some rookies out there who haven't perfected the art of radio traffic but guess what they are rookies!!! ALso when you criticize officers why don't you try being a police officer yourself? Scared? Or were you like that one dispatcher that tried and got kicked out of the academy for bringing a loading firearm into a room??? Gadl he didn't make it!!
