I loved it! at the time I was there had you asked me what I thought I would have told you I hated it! But looking back now, it was some of the best years of my life! If I could go back n do it all over again I would choose Grace!

I don't think its a bad place. I'm going to send my child there. The public school system is a joke. It has nothing to do with the teachers. It's the fact that the public schools have dumbed their programs down because the No Child Left Behind crap. Also the techers have been forced to become babysitters. I for one don't believe children are getting quality educations from the public school system.

Your children will get a much better education in the oublic school system. I agree that it is not a very good program and NO Child Left Behind has ruined it, but it is much better than Grace's. Grace is not a very good school academic wise.

I went there for a while and when my parents could not pay anymore and I had to go back to BHS they took 4 credits from me and I had to go to summer school I guess that's what they do when you stop paying them. Christians ha whatever.

Public schools have three levels, the top level students receive a very good education with a lot of strenuous work and top notch teachers.

I don't know what goes on in the other two levels.

Grace is a great place if you want your child to be immersed in a religious setting.

Let me ask you a question, please? When your parents sent you to school there, they knew that it was a pay as you go school. It is not funded by taxpayer money. They have to pay bills also. Therefore everyone who attends must pay. Sounds pretty simple to me. Do you expect the school to pick up the tab for your education?
I know zilch about GCA. But I do know that anyone who goes there knows what they are getting into when it comes to money. You sound as if you are choosing to make an assumption that they are not Christian people just because they would not pay for you to attend the school. Is that correct?

First post on topic.... shudders lol
It was my 4yr old daughter that was allowed to wonder the halls to go to the bathroom by herself... at 4yrs old now.... she wondered right out the door and to the highway before the preacher just happen to see her outside and chased her down the road.... granted she knew better, BUT at 4yrs old it should have never been possible for her to just walk out!!!!
Yes this was at grace!!!! Not public school

All three of my kids go to Grace, and we make a lot of sacrifices to afford it. As far as the "real world" comment, why expose your children to the "real world" before you have to? I am not naive, I went to private school growing up and I know things happen there too. But I guarantee they will be exposed to a lot less at GCA, at least as elementary and middle school kids. If you don't believe me, ask some of the public school teachers about what some of the kids in their classes say and do. So many kids are oversexualized, and neglected, and bring foul words and actions to school. Just a few weeks ago they caught a couple of middle-schoolers at Hutto having oral s*x in the bathroom there. Again, I am not saying that nothing ever happens at private school, but you are just dealing with a different caliber of people there. I plan to shelter my kids from this nasty world as much as possible, and I am proud of it.

ok proud mom, whats gonna happen to those kids when they have to get out in the real world and have to face those kind of things on their own?you cant hide them for ever, i have two kids of my own that attend public school and believe me we hear all sorts of things from them everyday, but that's when you have to sit and talk and TEACH them whats right and whats wrong in the REAL WORLD! they have to learn about it all so they can have the basic social skills to defend themselves from it! and not be hidden from it and pretend that kind of stuff doesn't exist. its a mean world, and its only getting worse!

on another note, you mean a different caliber as meaning that regular people are beneath you? im glad you are doing without if it makes you any better then me and my kids! you just wait till your kids get older and start having to handle real peer pressure and then we will see who fairs better in the real world!

I have a suspicion that you think that you and your kids are better than about, oh, I'd say, 51% of the population in Bainbridge, even if it isn't particularly good politics to think or say it out loud today. I'm sure it wasn't in reference to your kids... Or maybe you will be ecstatic when Cornelius, Donlatrinius, KlamDia shows up with his wickets or cornrows and gold teefesis with his pants around his ankles gives you daps, and says, "Yo, hoe, weez needs to get sum wahre. Git chyo azz in da quehar" when he picks your daughter up for the prom. Please post us the pictures when it comes, and with your beaming face if this sounds great! She removes her kids from the influences that she believes her family to be better than, you just reinforce it every day by telling your kids that they are better than the kids who say what what they are repeating.

i'm not trying to make my kids believe they are better then anyone, i just try to teach them whats right and wrong and try to give them morals to live by. you can tell she was raised in a private school alright cause she was taught she was better then regular people so the chain continues by teaching her kids the same way.

So is is better to be right or wrong? I think you might have taken offense where none was intended. It might have been an unfortunate choice of words on her part, since your interpretation is equally valid, but why attribute malice when a misunderstanding would explain it. I guess we will never know if she doesn't clarify.
