I do not think it was fair for Paula Dean's show to be canceled. So what if she chooses to express her true feelings. She even made sure it was recorded in her deposition. We still have the freedom to express ourselves. This is not just a freedom that is extended to minorities.

You are clueless. I have read all 149 pages of the deposition. She in no way "made sure" it was recorded there. What planet are you from??

My dad used to have a saying "I don't care what you call me as long as the paycheck don't bounce" I think any employee who gripes because the boss calls them a mean name is an ungrateful piece of crap! Get over it!!!

If the n-word is so offensive to black people, why is it that they all call each other that? Seems like a double standard to me.

Paula has no doubt, made a fortune through her efforts, and can live in comfort, for the remainder of her life. There should be a time, that even the people that have achieved super wealth should realize that hey, I finally have enough. If I were in her current position, I would consider the following.
I grew up in a time that was much different than what is accepted today.
Sometimes, I may slip and go back to my roots, and the way that I was raised, when speaking.
If saying the now forbidden word, n****r is now able to take away a persons livelyhood, and condemn them forever, then our country is really messed up. Paula, take your fortune, enjoy it, and tell everyone else to kiss your proud southern ass!

White people put up with this treatment. It's your own fault. Maybe if you didn't act like a bunch of spineless cowards, this wouldn't happen nearly as often.

You're 10 times more likely to hear a white people gripe about a racial slur than any other race because you're brainwashed by political correctness and racial oriented media.

Seriously, look at any movie released in the past decade. White people are portrayed as helpless nerds in contrast to street savvy, able blacks. It was only a matter of time before movies like "The New Kid" and "Blue Streak" and the other 6 billion movies that follow the same premise became some kind of self-fulfilling prophecy. Combine that with the shift towards brainless rap music that fills your children's ears 24/7 about selling drugs, dropping out of college and promoting selfishness and greed...

This generation and the next are going to drive this nation into a politically-correct third-world country. Let's further this agenda by dismantling Paula Dean's financial empire because she made racial slurs about a black guy that held her at gunpoint. Seriously, if you're a white female and grew up in ALBANY, I don't know how you couldn't be racist.

Nevermind the fact that she contributed more to our GDP than the entire city of Bainbridge combined. Great job, guys. Way to go. You've really got your priorities in order. Be sure to apologize to at least 3 black people today for being white.

How many black employees are now out of a job because Paula cannot afford to pay them anymore?
