The Facts

I was recently in the market for a needed item. I do not wish to identify the item for two reasons, first, I do not want to divulge the business in question, and second, I want to cover my ass from any type of slander.
I went to the private business to express my interest in the particular product that they had for sale. Within five minutes of the conversation with the owner, I was told how he was a christian, and a deacon of the church. This was not a business like approach to me, so I decided to stop the negotiation, and do a little research.
After a lot of research, as well as talking to former customers, I decided that I should go elsewhere. My conclusion was that if I deal with this person, I should pre-lube my ass, because, that is what this person is all about.
In my opinion, if you approach a vendor, and they throw the "god" thing on you, DON'T walk away, run from them.

Yes I agree. I'm a christian but I don't like when someone I'm dealing with starts to talk about God. Unfortunately it makes them look like they are not as honest as they want you to think they are.

At least the person confesses god, you never know about someone. weather someone brings god up or not does not mean anything. I have dealt with a lot of people in my 70 some odd years and if a person is shady then someone will know about them, it's when no ones know them that they are honest. see, no one will say good about you, but everyone will slander you if thy know something.

Religion is like a male private part. Its ok to have one and be to be proud of it, but its not ok to whip it out in public and try and shove it down anyones throat... Just saying....

Many people believe in spreading the word of God. I'm not sure what all was said or if all he done was tell you he was a christian and a deacon, but with it being his own place of business he had every right to do so just as you had every right to leave. No harm done. It may not be the best business move on the business owner but I'm sure he is aware of that and chooses to do what his heart desires
