a large majority of the Dr.'s aren't using their privileges at Memorial hospital because they want to keep normal hours and not have to be on call and work shifts at the ER

They go to the Hospital and are treated by one the Hospital Dr.'s

Welcome to modern medicine.

We lose a lot of Dr.'s and prospective Dr.'s because the younger generation doesn't want to work 20 hours per day 6 1/2 days a week.

Who can blame them?

Not to mention you automatically get that second, third and fourth opinion.

What do you mean,"lacked credentials"? You are concerning me as she has treated me in the E.R. Please explain your comment.

Dr. McRae has some personal stuff going on right now and wanted to spend more time with his family. And felt he could not perform his duties at BMH any longer.

The comment about Dr. Jones may not be true but it wouldn't surprise me. Three experiences with her through family members told me she isn't a good doctor. A friends blood pressure was 220 over 119 and she told the young girl to give my friend a list of doctors in the area she could go see since she didn't deem it to be a medical emergency. Now I'm not a doctor or close to it but I was told blood pressure that high was a sure stroke. My friend has insurance, she was in alot of pain and was so upset she was in tears when she called me to take her to Tallahassee. Patients First couldn't believe a hospital would treat someone that way. They said her blood pressure being that high could have killed her. They took care of her immediately. I hope that doctor really starts thinking about what service she is providing as my complaints are not the only ones about her.

This is not hard to find out:

I don't know where the idiots get their info from about licenses. I am guessing from their kids cereal or CrackerJacks boxes.

According to the link you provided, then "No Doubt", Dr. Jones is indeed licensed to practice medicine. I wonder why anyone (like "just me") would say something not true about her like that?

I am trying to see both sides here. I have worked ER for 17 years and most of them all weekend long. Every large place of buisness has bad apples. I have seen them come and go. I for one love "almost" every one of my patients. Outsiders can't emagine how extreemly ungly and uncooperative some people are. It does get very trying at times to say the least. I wish people could see it from my eyes. I really believe most of my comrads do our very best as alot of the times you couldn't know how demanding and what a load we carry. I promise I do my best and most of the time go way beyond to please all as you are my job. I for one appreciate DR. Jones and she has had to help put my body back together. Please really look into the facts and the whole story before bashing me, my and your hospital, and my coharts. You could mabe look into volunteering if you want to help. We might be putting you back together tonight, I really hope not, but we will be there for you.

All I did was prove she was licensed and had graduated from an accredited school. I was defending her from the idiots, not being one.

Whatever you do avoid going to that rural backward hospital that almost killed my husband. We would have sued them if we weren't threatened that we would lose our jobs. Watch out. Watch everything they do and question it all

Well the problem is, when people come to the ER or to MHM, they come looking for a reason to sue instead of getting the help they really need, when they should be stepping out of the way of those that really need it. Not saying that your husband didn't need help but when you come to the Hospital, people tend to get the idea that their loved one's deserve top notch, priority attention over everyone else that is in there. You think that the hospital should drop all patients and take care of your immediate families and friends when it can't be that way. And when it's not that way, you want to sue. Not all people are going to live everytime you bring them to any hospital, but when it happens to immediate family members and friends they want to sue. So the bad comments about the hospital come from people that can't have it their way! This is NOT BURGER KING! I don't care how much money you have, whether it's a ton or none at all, all patients should be treated the same, no special treatment, good patient care. Try rewarding one's like that instead of having you hands stuck out all the time trying to get something.

Sick and Tired, I have no doubt that you are a health care professional and that you do your best to take care of your patients. Re-read your post, with honest self reflection. If you will do that, you will discover the root of some of the complaints. Many at the Hospital, because of direction of leadership, have become cynical about the public whom they are called uypon to serve. The local hospital has served thousands of patients in last five years. At the most there have been ten lawsuits. Maybe it would be appropriate to stop analizing motives and tap back into that servants heart that brought you into the helth care profession.
